- Thai House Beach Resort

The resort is located on Lamai Beach on the beautiful island of Samui. The town centre, shopping facilities and the tourist centre of Chaweng are just minutes by car. With many attractions such as Chaweng Lake, Namuang Waterfall and the Big Buddha nearby, the hotel is easily accessible from all major airports with daily ferry service. Based on an original Thai house, the hotel is designed in traditional Thai style with modern amenities. The hotel offers beach front villas, houses villas, deluxe family and deluxe room. Decorated in contemporary Thai style the rooms offer the sensations of warmth, comfort and relaxation. All come with private bathroom with a bath. The resort hosts a number of theme nights and day activities help all guests experience Thai culture. The hotel's restaurant serves fresh seafood and international cuisine.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
The hotel was perfect. It is right on the beach, has a lovely pool, and the staff are so friendly and helpful. We travelled as a family of four with two teenagers. We had 2 beach villas which were perfect. They faced the pool, and the beach, and were very spacious. Fire show was brilliant and the food was lovely. My husband and daughter done the Thai cooking class which they really enjoyed. A big thank you to the man who works in the bar and brings drinks out to you on the beach, sorry I can’t remember his name. Free pool towels was a bonus. Location of hotel is perfect, near shops, bars and restaurants. The Lamai night market is only a five minute walk, we ate there a couple of times. I recommend this hotel and would definitely return.
This hotel is perfect - I would give it 11/10 if I could. It is a central location but quiet - so its a couple of minutes walk to bars or to the night market for food. The rooms are lovely and have air conditioning, there is a nice pool and the private beach is immaculate. If there are no beach beds available, they will put one out for you straight away - nothing is too much trouble for the staff there. The staff are amazing - friendly and professional. The breakfast is excellent, there is a lot of variety and choice and the cocktails are delicious.
While we were there, there was a wedding at the hotel. The amount of care and preparation the staff put in was lovely - it was the most beautiful wedding I have ever seen. In the unlikely event I ever get married - I would want it at this hotel after seeing how amazing it was. They set everything up on the beach and made it perfect for the family.
I genuinely have nothing bad to say about this place - the hotel and the location is amazing, there are numerous trips and excursions that could be booked from there with pick up and drop off. I would 100% go there again and wouldn't want to stay anywhere else. Lamai has enough to do but is not as crazy as Chaweng - the island is paradise and the people are lovely. I have never felt so safe anywhere in the world. I would 100% recommend staying here - I couldn't believe the quality for the price (UK).
Staying at this hotel at the moment. Lovely hotel — very green, with a little pool/pond with fish and turtles. Located right on the beach. The swimming pool seems to be a good size and also has a whirlpool.
Pros: Great location — within a short walking distance of the night market (which I found rather mediocre), a supermarket (accepts card payments), and 7-Eleven (which has a minimum spend of 500 baht for card transactions). Thai massage places, restaurants, and currency exchanges are everywhere.
Clean beach right at your doorstep, with free sunbeds and umbrellas (although they start removing them around 5:30 pm). Breakfast is good — you may not feel like eating again until the evening. Staff are very friendly, polite, and helpful. We’re staying here at the end of May, and the pool area has been empty, although we prefer the beach and sea anyway and haven’t really used it.
Cons: Our room (standard) is fine, but the bathroom is a bit outdated. The shower splashes water everywhere, and the tiles can be slippery when wet, so we’ve had to put towels on the floor around the bathroom.
Overall, we’re happy with this place and would recommend staying here.
Wonderful! Great rooms, pool and beach front setting. Perfect location for beach life and street life/restaurants at Lamai in the evenings. Fabulous staff - my son unknowingly left his iPad in his villa and the resort messaged to let us know they had found it, so we could arrange for it to be picked up. Plus, the food they did there was really really good - special mention to the duck curry which was the best I'd ever tasted!
There is a lot to love about Thai House Beach Resort. Firstly the staff are absolutely lovely, so friendly and helpful. They did all they could to make me feel welcome and happy during my stay. A big thank you to the front of house team and the restaurant staff (especially Wut) for their excellent service. The location of the hotel is great, you can walk straight on to the beach and it is just a short walk to the Lamai night market. They also hosted a beach bbq and fire show one night. The rooms were clean, bright and comfortable. I loved sitting on my villa balcony. The hotel has beautiful gardens, trees and plants to enjoy. I would recommend staying in one of the Villas for the most space and best views. I ended up extending my stay because I liked the hotel so much.
My only disappointment was how busy the pool and beach area was. There wasn't much choice about where to sit and sometimes there were no available sun loungers by the time I got there. It felt a bit crowded for my liking. I didn't like the smoking area being so close to the pool. I loved swimming in the pool at sunset once it was quiet. There is a beautiful view of the sea - heavenly!!
