Thai house beach hotel is such a beautiful little hotel in the center of lamai beach strip. Whilst its so close to everything you need, we didnt hear any noise at night which was great. The staff there were second to none, nothing was an issue for them, we checked in early and they gave us towels for the beach and let us stay after check out :) Drinks and food could be ordered to the beach (which is a 5* also) - they have bean bags which were so comfortable! They give you a beach bag for your room too which is big enough to hold your essentials - a lovely thought. The room was pretty basic but had everything we needed - a very big smart tv so you can watch Netflix and youtube! Theres also a fully stocked mini fridge with soft drinks and beer - which are more expensive than the shops but definitely convenient! The hotel was clean throughout and maid service was amazing. The restaurant was nice and reasonably priced, but within a 5 min walk is lamai night market so plenty of options. The breakfast was nice, lots of options of healthy food and sweet treats - would probably say worth adding to the booking! The 7/11s are about a 10 min walk left or right but there is a mini mart and a Tops Daily within a few mins :) The hotel provides on site massages for very reasonable prices (no more expensive than the strip -300bht for an hour) - i had 2 and both amazing There are a lot of locals selling things up and down the beach like foot massages, trinkets, ice cream and fruit which i guess could be annoying but just say no and they move on. The lady with the fruit is a must- the best mango! 😋
They bought my partner a cake out in the morning for his birthday too which was lovely.
Thank you for making our holiday so special x
All in all, this hotel is fine—but it’s crying out for a deep clean and a full renovation. We booked a standard double: great size, yet everything looked tired, from the patchy, messy tiling in the shower room to the limescale‑clogged shower and very scuffed furniture. The staff were lovely and couldn’t do enough for us. Breakfast was okay (my husband loved the omelettes), and we really enjoyed the happy‑hour cocktails—the Mojito was the star. We skipped the pool for the beach and never struggled for sunbeds (down by 7:30 am as best time of day for us early birds). We saw several jellyfish; the hotel put up a notice on our last day, which was good, but earlier warnings would help. Lamai Beach and Town were much busier than we’d hoped, as we were after a laid back atmosphere. Found some amazing restaurants though - NANA TAM (best Thai food ever - book via WhatsApp to avoid queuing), FAI (incredible food from Thai to European), MOLLY’S (best pizza and pasta by far!)
Fabulous experience at this hotel. Special thank you to Gam, the general manager, who made our stay extra memorable. Great location, lovely breakfasts and all of the staff were wonderful. Right on the beach, sun-beds and waiter service. In the middle of the strip so bars accessible in a few minutes. Would definitely recommend.
The hotel was perfect. It is right on the beach, has a lovely pool, and the staff are so friendly and helpful. We travelled as a family of four with two teenagers. We had 2 beach villas which were perfect. They faced the pool, and the beach, and were very spacious. Fire show was brilliant and the food was lovely. My husband and daughter done the Thai cooking class which they really enjoyed. A big thank you to the man who works in the bar and brings drinks out to you on the beach, sorry I can’t remember his name. Free pool towels was a bonus. Location of hotel is perfect, near shops, bars and restaurants. The Lamai night market is only a five minute walk, we ate there a couple of times. I recommend this hotel and would definitely return.
This hotel is perfect - I would give it 11/10 if I could. It is a central location but quiet - so its a couple of minutes walk to bars or to the night market for food. The rooms are lovely and have air conditioning, there is a nice pool and the private beach is immaculate. If there are no beach beds available, they will put one out for you straight away - nothing is too much trouble for the staff there. The staff are amazing - friendly and professional. The breakfast is excellent, there is a lot of variety and choice and the cocktails are delicious.
While we were there, there was a wedding at the hotel. The amount of care and preparation the staff put in was lovely - it was the most beautiful wedding I have ever seen. In the unlikely event I ever get married - I would want it at this hotel after seeing how amazing it was. They set everything up on the beach and made it perfect for the family.
I genuinely have nothing bad to say about this place - the hotel and the location is amazing, there are numerous trips and excursions that could be booked from there with pick up and drop off. I would 100% go there again and wouldn't want to stay anywhere else. Lamai has enough to do but is not as crazy as Chaweng - the island is paradise and the people are lovely. I have never felt so safe anywhere in the world. I would 100% recommend staying here - I couldn't believe the quality for the price (UK).
