It was so precious time to spend with my mother. The view from a room was amazing and the staffs are kind.
Family of 4 stayed for a week in July. Some construction going on at resort that didn’t really impact our stay. Resort on steep site and buggy available to take guests around if needed . Walkable round resort if reasonably fit. Beach nice.. need shoes to walk out to swim as rocky just off beach. Can get beach shoes from hotel. Breakfast lovely. Staff very friendly. Night time quiet. We went out with grab taxi to fisherman’s village a couple of nights. Hotel restaurant quiet but food great. Had a room with a private pool. Was amazing but our room did need some maintenance and this did let it down a bit and took away the wow factor. Great holiday.. views from this hotel are amazing and we did enjoy our stay. Might stay near fisherman’s village if we came back as a family again. Lots to do on the island and we had a great holiday.
Even though the rooms and views are great, the service is not friendly if you are not a white person. From check-in, dining service to check out, we can see staff smiling and being extra tentative to white guests but if you are asian or black, it is totally different. We are all paying the same if not more.
Poor service for a resort that claims to be luxury. Staff needs better training to not discriminate, we're never staying here again.
Magnífic hotel and attention. All are grate
We stayed for a week as a family of four. We had two ocean view rooms. The hotel was gorgeous and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Every member of the team in every area of the hotel was without exception cheerful and courteous. All areas were clean and the whole ambience is calm and peaceful. The hotel is a little off the beaten track which adds to the general aura of peace and tranquility but it takes a bit more effort to get to the nearby town or to go and visit other areas of the island. The views from our rooms and public areas of the hotel are amazing. We ate in the two restaurants most evenings and the food was great, reasonably priced. Breakfast was varied and delicious. We made use of the gorgeous swimming pool areas as well as the private beach. The only tiny grumble was the construction noise. There is maintenance work currently ongoing and it was quite noisy at times. We were fore warned the day before it started and it wasn’t too much of a distraction so I’m not complaining as maintenance has to be done. The only exception being the massage I booked in the spa. The construction work was right outside the spa and so it’s fair to say that the noise ruined what would otherwise have a been a lovely experience. If I’d realised or known in advance that the spa was located right next to the construction I wouldn’t have booked it. Beyond that, the hotel is amazing, the people lovely and I would not hesitate to recommend.
