My husband and our two adult kids just returned from this beautiful vacation to Thailand. It was our first time in Asia and it was amazing in so many ways. After the hustle and bustle of Bangkok, this hotel literally feels like a dream. The hotel was very responsive with us prior to arrival- always answering my questions, my concerns, and assured me a wonderful stay with all the things we were looking for. They absolutely delivered on everything! The property is expansive and hilly but it is definitely walkable as long as you are up for it. It's lovely to walk from the room to the lobby and the restaurants because you get to take in the morning and evening sounds of the birds, which is delightful.
We stayed in one of the duplex type villas which was absolutely breathtaking. (Ocean front- do yourself a favor and opt for this! It's worth it!) The views are beyond compare. They welcomed us with a gorgeous Happy Birthday in flowers and a cake and goodies upon arrival in the room. My kids were thrilled to have their own space downstairs which had everything our gorgeous room had except for the outdoor jacuzzi tub. (which was lovely but we didn't use honestly bc it's so hot and humid that it didn't seem appealing to us during our stay). The use of our own private pool was the perfect start to every morning and the perfect way to end most evenings as well after being out and about exploring Koh Samui. The private beach is lovely but not really great for swimming. It's beautiful visually, but it is full of rocks and makes it hard to navigate to a spot for complete swimming. But that's ok, bc it's so beautiful there that lounging and watching the beach is wonderful. There is a fabulous beach (Silver Beach) very close to the hotel which has a charming restaurant, $15 hour long massages daily, and incredible swimming, and pretty decent snorkeling. There is a shuttle from the hotel available 2x a day but we used Grab everywhere. The daily breakfast is spectacular and everything from the caviar eggs on the menu, to the buffet with the most wonderful selection of pastries, to the delicious fruits, to the most unbelievable juicer I've ever seen is not to be missed.
The most wonderful thing about the hotel was the hospitality and the warmth of the people there. Every request was met with the warmest smiles and greetings. The turndown service to the room service, the front desk, and everyone in between. They also helped us book a boat excursion which was the highlight of our trip. They are all eager to make your stay special and it shows. We got caught in a crazy rain storm on the beach and as we made our way up from the beach with towels from the beach attendant, to the bar service person along the path who called us a cart to pick us up after he gave us his umbrellas- the service was exceptional in every area! They really take pride in making their guests feel special.
They seem to be doing a bit of renovating but we didn't find anything loud or bothersome at all. Some of the areas of the hotel are being upgraded but honestly, it is so lovely that you won't even notice. It's charming the way it is, because it feels like a luxury hotel but with the warmth that some others lack.
I am so happy that I chose this hotel for our special family trip. It was everything we had hoped for and I cannot recommend it enough! Thank you to the manager and all the lovely staff for making our trip so special! Hope to be back someday! :) Khawp Khun Kha
We spent 3 days at Silavadee as a family in early June, the resort itself is very lovely, set on the side of a beautiful coastal hill, lush nature and gorgeous views over the Gulf of Siam. The check in was flawless, very lovely and welcoming staff, the GM Khun Tristan came to greet us and explained about the resort, he was extremely friendly and affable throughout our stay. The Villas are stunning, very classy with great amenities, the bed was huge and very difficult to get out of in the morning!!! The food is excellent, breakfast was especially delightful, a huge buffet, a la carte options were very extensive and very high quality. The restaurant staff were very lovely and kind with our 4 years old little boy and always remembered his name and what he liked to eat and drink. It was a lovely 3 day little break and we would definitely return.
Our family had a wonderful summer vacation at Silavadee, and we truly enjoyed every moment. The hotel is beautiful and absolutely worth the price. The room was spacious, comfortable. What made our stay special was how much the team cared about our requests. They listened carefully and made every effort to ensure we were happy. A special thank you to the management for their professionalism and genuine care for their guests. We truly appreciated the attention and excellent service.🤍 We left with unforgettable memories, and our whole family had an amazing time. We highly recommend Silavadee to anyone looking for a luxurious stay in Koh Samui.🙏🏻
This was my third stay at Silavadee, and the spa just keeps getting better with every single visit. I’m a bit of a spa enthusiast and always hit up luxury resort spas and standalone wellness centers when I travel. I can confidently say Silavadee is easily in my top three favorites. During this trip, I did the 90-minute aromatherapy massage, and everything was absolutely flawless—the vibe, the music, the room temp, and the pressure. Honestly, it was so relaxing that my health ring actually registered that I napped through the entire session! Beyond the spa, the resort itself is incredibly beautiful and peaceful. It’s perfect for couples, but as a parent, I was so impressed by how accommodating they are for families with babies. They really go the extra mile. The high chairs at the restaurants have actual cushioning, and the bottle sterilizers they provide have a drying setting (a huge plus). The baby cot they set up was actually soft and comfortable, not like those rock-hard cribs you usually get at other resorts, and it even came with a mosquito net. It’s those little details that show they genuinely care about families. We loved our stay and will definitely be back!
