Things To Consider If You're Wanting Premium
Things That Didn't Meet Expectations: The breakfast wasn't what you'd expect of a premium hotel. The options weren't quite sufficient generally, but if you're a vegetarian good luck, and if you're vegan, no chance!
The rooms are a bit dated and could do with a refresh. We stayed in a Ocean Villa that was a large sprawling area but missed the wow factor inside. The outdoor jacuzzi pool was however lovely.
Things That Worked: The hotel has beautiful scenery though and it's quite green. The cleanliness in the room was excellent so the housekeeping team should be commended.
Lastly, if you're a traveller considering where to stay, I strongly suggest spending the extra for Ritz Carlton and Vanna Belle if you're a Marriott Bonvoy member.
If you're open to other brands there are a lot of better options worth considering!

Happy Holiday
I went for lunch and day pass . I had a wonderful experience at Renaissance Koh Samui yesterday. From the moment I arrived, Khun Chin, the Manager, gave me a very warm welcome and made sure that everything was well taken care of throughout my visit. His hospitality and attention made the experience truly enjoyable.
The food was excellent, with great quality and presentation. I would also like to give special recognition to Khun Nui, server at pool bar, who provided outstanding service. He was attentive, friendly, and professional, and made our dining experience even more memorable.
Thank you to Khun Chin, Khun Nui, and the entire team for the wonderful hospitality. I truly enjoyed my time there and look forward to visiting again!
amazing place
The location was amazing, so vibrant and beachy!! The sea was wonderful, we went snorkeling at coral bay (very near to the hotel) and saw many sergeant major fish and amazing coral!! The atmosphere of the Renaissance was extremely peaceful, ideal for a getaway destination with a partner. The rooms were spacious and large, our rooms were made up every day! The service was lovely, the staff are so polite, saying hello all the time. The noise level was minimal, you could mostly hear crickets chirping or the sea. the food was also incredible and super fresh. i recommend the mango sticky rice!!!! (the villa pool was also super relaxing- that’s only if you stay in your own personal villa)

Amazing experience
We stayed for 9 nights at this resort and were so impressed with every aspect of the resort. The facilities were we well maintained and the resort feels an appropriate size for the location. The pools were amazing and the free shuttle to Lamai and Chanwg beaches were ideal as the resort beach is really suitable for swimming, although great for a paddle. What makes this resort so amazing are the staff. From the first minute of arrival to our departure everyone was friendly and happy giving a very attentive service throughout our staff. Breakfast was amazing and varied each day. Special thanks to Ninzg who always had a wonderful smile at breakfast and made our stay so memorable. I would not hesitate to recommend this resort and will certainly come back. Koh Samui is an amazing island and the Renaissance ideal base to explore

From the moment we arrived until the moment we left for the airport, we felt genuinely cared for.
Every single day, both morning and evening, someone checked in to make sure we had everything we needed in our room. That level of attention and care is something we will never forget.
A very special thank you to Sunny from the housekeeping team, who completely stole our hearts with her kindness, warmth, and beautiful smile. She made every day brighter for us.
We would also like to thank the entire staff for the incredible way they looked after our mother. She doesn’t speak English and has some difficulty walking, yet every member of the team treated her with such patience, kindness, and genuine care. They always checked how she was doing and made sure she was as comfortable as possible despite the stairs around the resort. It meant more to us than words can express.
A heartfelt thank you to the restaurant and kitchen teams as well. Every meal was fresh, delicious, beautifully presented, and plentiful. More importantly, every member of the staff welcomed us with warm smiles and made us feel truly wanted and at home.
A special thank you to Maya at the front desk, who personally escorted us to our villa and helped arrange accommodations that made things easier for our mother. Her kindness and professionalism made a wonderful first impression that stayed with us throughout our stay.
As for the resort itself—it is absolutely stunning. The villas are beautiful, the gardens are meticulously maintained, the pools are luxurious, and the restaurants are fantastic. Everywhere you look, the property is peaceful, elegant, and incredibly well cared for.
What makes this place truly exceptional, however, is not only its beauty—it’s the people. The genuine hospitality of every single staff member turned a beautiful resort into an unforgettable experience.
