Banyan Tree Samui is just stunning and the staff warm and friendly. We had an unforgettable time that will be in our memory for ever!
I enjoyed a very nice spa ritual with my daughter at the Banyan tree spa. Both Charlene and Massy were very professional and knowledgeable about the Balinese massages we received. The room was very nice and the service excellent.
Exceptional Service – Banyan Tree Has Become Our First Choice Worldwide
We have stayed in many wonderful hotels and resorts around the world, both through my work as a businessman who travels frequently and through many family vacations — especially in Thailand, a country that our family truly loves.
Banyan Tree Samui is a beautiful resort. The villas are stunning, the beach is incredible, the breakfast is excellent, and the entire property is wonderful.
But what makes this place truly exceptional is something much more important: the service and the people.
After recently staying at Banyan Tree Krabi and now at Banyan Tree Samui, I have come to realize that Banyan Tree offers perhaps the best and most personal level of service we have experienced from any hotel brand anywhere in the world.
Having a dedicated Villa Host who is available through WhatsApp makes an enormous difference. Whatever you need — a reservation, transportation, an activity, a recommendation, or simply help with something — there is always someone there for you. It creates a feeling that everything is taken care of, allowing you to simply relax and enjoy your family.
But above everything else, I have to mention one extraordinary person: Golf, our Villa Host.
I arrived at the resort after falling from a bicycle and injuring my leg. I had a significant open wound that required daily cleaning and dressing. I initially thought I would need to visit a clinic or hospital every day during our stay to have it treated.
Golf simply told me that he would help take care of me.
And he did.
Every single day, he has helped me clean the wound and change the dressing, always with incredible patience, kindness and genuine c oncern. Thanks in large part to him, my leg has improved and, more importantly, I have been able to continue enjoying this vacation with my wife and children instead of spending my days going back and forth to a clinic.
I have traveled extensively throughout my life, and I honestly cannot remember experiencing this level of personal care from a hotel employee.
Golf is not simply someone who provides excellent service. He is someone who genuinely loves helping people, and you can feel it in everything he does. Banyan Tree should be incredibly proud to have a person like him representing the brand.
And Golf reflects something we have felt throughout our stay: every member of the team here seems to understand what true hospitality means. It is not only about fulfilling requests. It is about noticing what a guest needs, caring, and doing everything possible to make their stay special.
After our experiences at Banyan Tree Krabi and Banyan Tree Samui, one thing is certain for our family:
Whenever there is a Banyan Tree at a destination we are visiting, it will now be our first choice — in Thailand and anywhere else in the world.
Thank you to the entire Banyan Tree Samui team, and a very speci al thank you to Golf.
You helped turn a difficult start to our vacation into a wonderful family experience.
This is hospitality at its very best.
This resort is beautiful and truly unique the villas especially those high on the hill have the most amazing view and you can enjoy it from your own private pool day and night. The staff are beautiful and so attentive, you get around by chauffeured buggies that are available to pick you up as needed. The on-site restaurants are a mixed bag. Breakfast was nice but not amazing. The flagship saffron is the “fine dining” option for dinner and is lovely. The beach cafe/grill all day/night option is unfortunately not great and overpriced. There are however many other excellent restaurants around the island that can be reached by taxi. Phensiri, which is quite close, was fabulous. Noteworthy for those with young children the rooms are not really suited to them and it’s not that relaxing, obviously we knew the private pool was there but we didn’t realize all the doors open directly into the pool and none can be child locked. This includes the front door, all of which could be easily unlocked and opened by my 3 year old, so I had to literally sleep with one eye open to make sure no one went outside unattended. They do present you with a waiver upon arrival saying the villas aren’t recommended for children under 8 I don’t remember reading that before booking but it’s useful to know. Also childcare options for under 4 are limited, there is a babysitter for 600-800thb/hour minimum 3-4 hrs but availability is limited. Would absolutely go again, but once the kids are older :)
Fantastic massage by Charlene at Banyon Tree spa. The hotel is very nice placed by the sea with private beach. Very very nice staff all around.
