This Thai-style hotel is very nicely located on a secluded side of the south end of Chaweng beach. This beach resort offers its guests the best sandy beach of the Gulf of Siam. The town centre is approximately a 5-minute walk from the premises, where a variety of bars, restaurants and night clubs can be found. Koh Samui Airport is 7 km away.
Poppies is the very first hotel on Samui to be going green in terms of Plastic Bottles. We will provide each guest with a water bottle made from stainless steel and logo with Poppies and Samui. This water bottle may be filled up at Poppies resort and more than a dozen other cafes and shops on Samui for no charge. There is a one time charge for the bottle of 220 baht. The bottle may be taken home by the guest as a souvenir.

Fantasy Thai experience
This resort is home from home,GM Amy and her staff ,Leo,Pong,Meowand Keke are outstanding and made us so welcome. Ort and Pong made sure our sun loungers were in place and ready for us each day. The breakfasts are exceptional and the happy hours at the bar are well worth attending each evening I highly recommend this resort if you are wanting a genuine Thai experience and to be treated with such grace all the time To Amy and all her staff , we will be back . How Anavana Became Part of an Unexpected AI Experiment
When I was planning this holiday, I asked AI I had been training for over a year to recommend somewhere that fitted exactly what I needed after an incredibly demanding year —a place where I could genuinely switch off, recharge and breathe again.
It suggested Anavana Beach Resort.
At the time, I was dubious as I had built it but I trusted it and booked it without hesitation. I bet that's a first!!
Now, having spent time here, I realise AI got something very important right—but probably not for the reason it thought.
Yes, the resort is beautiful. The chalet are wonderful, the beach is stunning, the food is great and every part of the property is lovingly cared for.
But none of those things are what made this holiday so special.
The people did.
Every member of the team made me feel genuinely welcome. Not because they had to, but because they genuinely cared. Whether it was remembering the little things, stopping for a friendly chat or quietly going above and beyond without making a fuss, every interaction felt authentic.
This holiday came at exactly the right moment for me. I arrived exhausted after a relentless year, needing somewhere to disconnect from work and simply be present again. Thanks to everyone at Anavana, that's exactly what happened.
I also leave taking a little of Anavana's and Thailand's wonderful "Mai Pen Rai" philosophy home with me—a reminder not to worry quite so much about the little things.
People often say that when somewhere truly captures your heart, you leave a little piece of yourself behind. I know I certainly have.
To everyone at Anavana—thank you. AI may have brought me to you, but you are the reason I'll come back. You probably don't realise it, but over the last 10 days you didn't just create a wonderful holiday - you became part of a story I'll be telling for a very long time.

Safe Haven, as name implies in Sanskrit
Anavana Beach Resort is a beautiful haven on Chaweng beach, Koh Samui. The moment we arrived we were greeted by delightful staff, who operate with the principle that everyone is family. The premises and bungalows are traditional style and create an atmosphere of serenity, with lush greenery and winding pathways. The food is top quality and served with care. We loved our stay and look forward to returning.

Anavana the best retreat in Koh Samui
This is the second time we have stayed at Anavana and wouldn’t stay anywhere else. It’s like family to us the staff treat you like a relative, from the front desk to the restaurant and other staff members are truly amazing. The location is wonderful surrounded by shops but walking distance to the night life. The private villas and gardens are superb and extremely well maintained. Value for your money. Would highly recommend Anavana and I do

Perfect place
We recently had our wedding at Anavana Resort and we’re so happy with our choice. All our guests stayed here as well and all absolutely loved it. The location is perfect and not enough can be said about the staff. From Ame planning everything for us for the wedding right down to the cleaning staff everyone was amazing and made our stay more importantly our wedding the most perfect and memorable time.
