This Thai-style hotel is very nicely located on a secluded side of the south end of Chaweng beach. This beach resort offers its guests the best sandy beach of the Gulf of Siam. The town centre is approximately a 5-minute walk from the premises, where a variety of bars, restaurants and night clubs can be found. Koh Samui Airport is 7 km away.
Poppies is the very first hotel on Samui to be going green in terms of Plastic Bottles. We will provide each guest with a water bottle made from stainless steel and logo with Poppies and Samui. This water bottle may be filled up at Poppies resort and more than a dozen other cafes and shops on Samui for no charge. There is a one time charge for the bottle of 220 baht. The bottle may be taken home by the guest as a souvenir.

Definitely recommend to family and friends.
The location is easily accessible from the road and the beach. Beautiful sunrise and sunset. The chalets are very well designed for privacy and serenity. The room, bathroom and sitting areas are clean. Not noisy at all. Maintenance staff go about their work quietly. Service staff are very attentive and courteous.
anavana stay
A welcome with a very friendly team who let us in early from our early flight. An extremely pleasant experience from the staff, the outlook, the garden and the relaxed vibe . Rooms/cottages are spread out in the gardens and the restaurant overlooks the beach.We loved it .

Again I had a wonderful experience. Big plus of this resort and its grounds is that it always feels relaxed and chilled, even when running at full capacity. The food is great, the room feels open and airy and the staff are all wonderful -most of them are very fun to engage with and have a laugh with, even with (or perhaps even because of( (the language barrier. Very fun! Will return again if the price is right.
Perfect for 22 years
I have lost count the number of times we have been here, firstly as Poppies back in 2004 and now as Anavana. Despite the change in ownership, the hotel retains as much of its charm and many original staff who treat you like family and are an absolute joy. Immediately you arrive "home" and walk through the glorious pathways listening to the koi swimming, and just get bigger every year, you are instantly transported into relaxation. But if you need further assistance, the spa is so welcoming and yesterday's massage must rate as one of the best ever. All 24 cottages are an oasis of calm, not just a room to sleep in. The food is gorgeous, I could happily eat my way through the entire menu and not find anything I didn't like. If Pong at the bar ever stops smiling then the world must surely have ended! I would name every staff member if I could but Lek, Jim, Ame, Oud and Pong deserve special mention. I always cry when I leave and have no doubt tomorrow will be any different.
