This resort enjoys a delightful setting on Koh Samui. The resort is located close to Chaweng Beach, surrounded by tropical splendour. The hotel affords guests close proximity to a number of attractions in the area. This modern resort enjoys an intriguing architectural design. The interior is beautifully appointed, complemented by Asian works of art. The guest rooms are stunningly designed, offering comfort and luxury. Guests are invited to take advantage of the resort's many facilities and services. The restaurant offers a delightful dining experience, where guests can enjoy delectable dishes, while overlooking the sea. Guests can enjoy the ultimate relaxation with a refreshing drink from the pool bar.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
lovely hotel right on the beach and just far enough outside of town to be very quiet. short walk or ride into town to enjoy the bars and restaurants. everting made us feel very welcome. Hotel collect us from the airport. Staff were all absolutely brilliant but have to make a special mention to Yok who looked after us by the pool everyday and had a good laugh with us. He also knew when it was beer time 😀
This is a classic Japanese style boutique resort. We stayed in one of their best rooms with a balcony hot tub which was awesome. Staff are friendly. Quiet and clean hotel. Buffet breakfast is reasonable but not fantastic. Pool area gets busy so getting there early is my tip. Very good hotel.
GREAT Location on Chaweng Beach a room very nice and good maintenance!!
Beach very nice and good service
Love it will be back on April thank to all
Very cute hotel with lush garden, staff all very nice, our room was very nice with comfortable bed, you are supplied with robes, a beach bag, water bottles etc. it’s a very quiet spot no noise, lots of options for breakfast including omelettes made fresh and cappuccino coffees. The beach is beautiful and we always found somewhere sit with beach umbrellas for shade. Across the street good restaurants, scooters for rent across the street as well, you can walk along way on the beach, also you can take a little bus down the street to the mall and night market.
We stayed at Kirikayan Resort, Koh Samui, for four nights and booked one of their largest accommodations, a suite with a living area downstairs and a bedroom upstairs.
The hotel’s location is definitely one of its strongest points. The beach is just a two-minute walk away, there is a nice swimming pool, and the surrounding area is pleasant and well-connected. Having two 7-Eleven stores right next to the hotel was extremely convenient, and public transportation was easily accessible.
The service staff throughout the hotel were generally very responsive and helpful. Whenever we called for assistance, someone would arrive within a minute, which was appreciated.
Unfortunately, the room itself was disappointing despite being one of the resort’s premium offerings. One of the most frustrating aspects of the suite was the layout. The tea and coffee station was placed inside a low cupboard near the floor rather than at a convenient counter height. Every time we wanted to make tea or coffee, we had to bend down to access the kettle, cups, and supplies, and there was no nearby power outlet, making the whole setup unnecessarily inconvenient. The suite also had very few conveniently located charging points.
The bedroom was also underwhelming for a premium suite. Rather than having a proper bed frame, the bed felt more like a large mattress placed on a platform, which gave the room a less luxurious feel than expected. While the bathroom itself was spacious, there was only enough practical space to open one suitcase comfortably. For a suite designed for at least two guests, this was surprisingly inconvenient.
There were also maintenance issues. The suite had two televisions, but neither was working properly when we arrived, requiring multiple calls to have them addressed. We also requested a shaving kit and were informed that none was available. Additionally, the sofa in the living room was extremely uncomfortable, which was unexpected in a premium suite.
Breakfast was another letdown. The selection was nearly identical every day, and most of the food was served cold. The only consistently hot items were freshly prepared eggs ordered separately.
While the hotel staff were generally helpful, our experience with the breakfast restaurant staff was less positive. On one occasion, we were immediately offered coffee upon arrival, but when we requested water instead, we were simply told to get it ourselves from a nearby station. It felt inconsistent, especially when staff were already serving beverages directly to guests.
Overall, Kirikayan Resort has a fantastic location, easy beach access, a nice pool, and responsive service staff. However, the design, comfort, and functionality of the suite did not meet expectations for one of the resort’s largest and most expensive rooms. The hotel itself has a lot going for it, but the room felt poorly thought out and lacked the comfort and convenience one would expect from a premium suite.
