“Great Location and Clean Stay, with Room for Improvement”
Room: The room was clean, tidy, and well maintained. Housekeeping came in every day to clean the room, which was great. The only downside was that the room was not very soundproof. Noise from outside, as well as the sound of other guests opening and closing their doors, could be heard quite clearly and was sometimes disturbing.
Location & Convenience: The location is excellent, as the hotel is located right next to Central, making it very convenient for shopping, dining, and getting around.
Facilities & Amenities: The amenities in the room were not completely consistent. For example, my colleague’s room had a hairdryer, but mine did not. However, I didn’t really have an issue with the other facilities because this is a budget-friendly accommodation, so I didn’t expect too much in this area.
What I Was Not Impressed With: The main issue was room allocation and the lack of clarity regarding the food credit promotion.
We made our reservations in advance through the app and clearly requested not to have a room near the elevator, but we were still given a room close to the elevator. We also booked two rooms, but they were located in different buildings. If the hotel was unable to accommodate our requests, it would have been better to inform us in advance.
Regarding the food credit, we stayed at the hotel for a total of 9 nights, but made three separate bookings because our travel plans were not fixed:
- 1st booking: 3 nights → received a THB 300 food credit per person
- 2nd booking: 2 nights → did not receive the credit, as we were told that the stay was not long enough
- 3rd booking: 4 nights → we expected to receive the credit, but were told that there was no credit in the system because we had not selected it during the booking process
What was disappointing was that the criteria for receiving the food credit were not clearly explained. All three bookings were made through the same app, yet the benefits were different.
If guests are required to select or add the promotion themselves during the booking process, the terms and conditions should be clearly stated so that customers can understand the requirements and avoid confusion.
Overall: The accommodation is clean, the location is excellent, and it is a convenient option for people travelling for work or looking for budget accommodation. However, I hope the hotel can improve soundproofing, room allocation according to guest requests, and especially the clarity of promotional terms and benefits.
