This 4 star hotel is located in the city centre of Koh Samui Island and was established in 2011. It is a short drive away from the Chaweng Beach. The Hotel has a coffee shop, an outdoor swimming pool and a fitness centre/gym. All 65 rooms are equipped with minibar, hairdryer, safe, ironing set and air conditioning.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Nice location, clean room and good service
Love the pool facing the beach. And thw location of the hotel is cmose enough to chaweng night life but still far enough for a goodnight sleep. Will definitely be back again
Love the rustic style rooms and the pool facing the beach was amazing. The breakfast had enough of choices for me to have a good breakfast. Will definitely choose this hotel again when I come Samui
I always research thoroughly before booking a property — checking reviews, photos, and multiple platforms. This time, the difference between what was shown online and what we experienced in reality was shocking.
The property looked worn down and poorly maintained. The horticulture, gardening, and landscaping appeared neglected. Several areas clearly needed repair and upkeep. It did not feel like a resort that is being actively maintained.
Our booking from Agoda clearly mentioned a garden facing room, yet the room we were first allotted faced a concrete structure and shade — there was no garden view at all. When I raised this concern, the staff was initially dismissive and insisted this was the correct category. Only after persistent clarification and insistence was another room offered.
Unfortunately, even the replacement room was not in good condition. There were excessive mosquitoes inside the room, which was extremely surprising given the ratings this property holds. My son was bitten badly, resulting in severe eye swelling, and we had to rush him to the hospital. This alone made the stay extremely stressful.
The room was small and compact, lighting was poor, and the air conditioning was weak. It simply did not feel fresh or well maintained. First night we were not able to sleep because of poor air conditioning. The swimming pool did not look clean enough for us to even consider entering it. It had broken tiles and walls and gave us similar impression as our rooms did - worn out.
The beach shoreline near the property had black water and visible litter. While natural conditions may not always be in the resort’s control, the contrast between online images and actual surroundings was significant.
Breakfast options were limited and underwhelming. Overall, the value for money was simply not there. I genuinely fail to understand how this property has received such glowing ratings because our experience was nowhere close to what was portrayed online. If you really want comfortable stay and are willing to pay extra then there are far better properties in same vicinity.
What was equally concerning was the overall attitude of the staff. For most of our requests — whether it was room clarification, assistance, or general help — the responses were dismissive and lacking basic courtesy. Hospitality and attentiveness are fundamental principles of the hotel industry, and unfortunately, that standard was missing. The property would greatly benefit from proper staff training in guest handling and service etiquette, as the current approach reflects poorly on the overall experience.
That said, I want to sincerely appreciate one staff member — Preeti or Pretty. When I was stung by sea urchins, she immediately stepped in, provided vinegar and a bucket, and carefully guided me through the treatment process. She was kind, calm, and extremely helpful. Because of her professionalism and care, I am improving my rating.
Overall rating: 6/10, and that is primarily because of one outstanding individual. Avoid this property at all cost. I am one of the top travel reviewers on google and when I say avoid this, it comes with lot of conviction and travel experience.
Stay here for 2 nights. The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful from the front-desk to restaurant and housekeepers. The room is big enough for 2 adults and 1 infant. We didn't ask for baby crib set up, though. The food at Chura@Bar was nice. We had dinner on the first day and lunch on the second day while we were soaking in the pool. The drinks were also nice. At breakfast, there are plenty options of food and coffee for midscale resort. The bed is so comfy that our 2-year-old son, who always cries in the middle of the night, slept throughout the night without a single noise. The location is quite convenient for shopping and night life. There is motorbike rental service, just need to check at the front desk. Overall, love it and will recommend to friends and personally come back for sure🥰
