- Bhundhari Chaweng Beach Resort

This 4 star hotel is located on the coastline of Koh Samui - Chaweng and was established in 2012.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Place is beautiful. Beach does not exist here but there is the usual pool. Forgot to book the day b4 for cheaper option but that was my mistake. Booked the beach bungalow. For double the price which i am totally fine with it. I was only going to stay one night but the day after my friend convinced me to stay an extra night. When i spoke to the receptionist i t was as usual... Poor communications skills and rude. I've offered to stay 2 extra night but at cheaper rates. The hotel was 80% empty. All the bungalows around were empty. After i got a place 100 meters down the road for a third of the price i came back to visit my friend. The resort looked like a ghost house. How stupid is it to not have someone staying for cheaper rates when you have an unsuccessful business.
Upon arrival we were offered a free upgrade for our room which made us feel welcome and well cared for the problems start to arise later! We were waiting for a friend the day after, even though 80% of the hotel was empty he had to pay full price for the same room (double of what we were charged) then he decided to stay for another two days and went to ask for a deal, now I can understand if the hotel was full and they didn’t want to give it to him but at week end the hotel was still 80% empty and yet they refused but the most disheartening thing was the rudeness with which the receptionist addressed us that was totally unnecessary, they lost a potential very good costumer just ok the back of that, also far from action you need a motorbike
Recently stayed there with my wife and the pictures do not match the worn, property. There is no where to sit around the pool by the hotel and I wouldn’t sit around the beach one either. It it is tatty and has perturbing nails. You have to eat breakfast outside and you will get bitten to no end there. This is due to renovations but they do nothing about the bugs, leaves and other bits out there, as you try and eat. The breakfast was ok though and the staff were nice. However when trying to order dinner at 7.30pm - you couldn’t but again through advertisement it said it was open until 8.30pm.
The cleaning is sub standard and on one occasion they even took our toilet roll out of our room and gave it to someone next door, as they had run out. Absolutely outrageous!!! When confronted the head cleaner - she is pregnant denied it and actually hid the roll. This woman is rude and also unapproachable, a bit like the female hotel manager actually. I would like to know why she stares at you so much as if she is doing you a favour let you stay there. She is unapproachable and actually doesn’t even greet you all the time. Management needs a course of customer service. The resident cat had better customer service. Seriously though people expect better.
You can get much better places for the money you pay and this is like a second hotel stay. I would rate this 2* and not 3*!!! The WiFi connection is poor so don’t bank on calls home.
Couldn’t wait to get out of this place. The beach is dirty and not private as stated. Go somewhere else!
My husband and I stayed here for a week in Nov 2019. Not the greatest of hotels, but it was cheap so we don’t expect the world! The photos on Agoda are misleading which is disappointing as it doesn’t set a very good starting point on arrival. If the whole place had a really good clean, it would be immediately better! The WiFi is good and the hotel is close to the beach...you have to walk a bit to get a decent bit of beach, but that’s fine. Disappointingly breakfast was served out in the open by the pool (the restaurant was being renovated), which in itself sounds lovely...however there were LOTS of flies and ants around, plus the added surprise of fruit and leaves falling off the trees you sat under! Breakfast was nice and the staff there were always friendly. The rooms are unnecessarily dark with few lights which is quite frustrating when you want to see! The shower was either boiling hot or freezing cold, a happy medium was never an option! We had a weird situation when the maid came to clean our room when we were at breakfast and when we came back, the toilet roll had been taken! She was just next door so I asked her for some, but I was told there wouldn’t be any until 2pm. Annoying, but fine. I went down to the toilets by the pool to get some from there, when I came back, the maid’s superior (rude as anything!!) was stood outside the cleaning cupboard glaring at me - it was weird but I didn’t think too much of it as she was grumpy the entire time we were there. Anyway, we went out a bit later and passed the cleaning cupboard which had a half roll of toilet paper in - presumably the one from our room which she was guarding! So weird, but given everything else, nothing surprised me! Stay there if you like, but don’t expect anything special!
The Hotel is located near Chaweng beach, but you can say that it's kind of the last corner of it. We paid a decent amount for the room but, I'll still say that you can find a better hotel than this like Samui Resotel or Samui Paradise etc. (not sponsored, just a suggestion) as they fall on the same road and nearer to the beach. This hotel lacks a lot of things and needs to improve its standards :
Some good points :
Overall not worth it. You can find better hotels more towards Chaweng Beach main entrance area or Lamai Beach area by spending a little more money.
