- Bhundhari Chaweng Beach Resort

This 4 star hotel is located on the coastline of Koh Samui - Chaweng and was established in 2012.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Location is perfect, direct beach access. Atmosphere is clam and peaceful, away from the night hussle of chaweng. Rooms- we had a bungalow with a sea view and that was the best thing I did. This are the ones which are on the beach. Deluxe rooms are away and in a different building. So don't get fooled by beach access if you book deluxe rooms. Value- Can say value for money but still can do better. Cleanliness- okok Noise level- calm and peaceful Service- Rude front desk staff, Ms Tik need a special mention as she has no manners as to how to talk to customers. When told to speak politely, she says you can complain to booking.com. She behaved rudely with my driver too. Promised a parking while booking and later denied it. I told her my driver will park another place but she was shouting like anything. So so rude. I hope she is rewarded by the owner for such a great service. Other staff who came after her was more polite and so cooperative. She agreed that the one in question is very rude and misbehaves with others very often. One dirty fish makes the whole pond dirty and brings bad name. Amenities- Tea coffee maker, hand wash soap, shampoo and body wash all available. No room tissues or facial tissues provided. When asked they give an extra roll of toilet tissues. Breakfast was just hopeless. Starts 8 am which is so weird. It is too late if you want to go for day tours. Secondly the staff is so unwelcoming and rude there too. They never greet you with smiles. Morning 8 am, their white bread stocks are over. They didn't even bother to replenish once finished. Fruits are not replenished once finished. I noticed it continuously during my stay. Hotel don't have their own breakfast. They are outsourcing from Orapin group so their is no responsibility it seems. They don't fill juices in the dispensers which are always at the bottom level. When asked, he took the juice bottle out of the fridge and poured a little in the dispenser, haha. Cost cutting at peak. Orapin group is the incharge of breakfast here. Terrible service. Overall, the location is the most important thing which goes in favour of this hotel. We enjoyed our stay and the beach was amazing.
The Hotel is located near Chaweng beach, but you can say that it's kind of the last corner of it. We paid a decent amount for the room but, I'll still say that you can find a better hotel than this like Samui Resotel or Samui Paradise etc. (not sponsored, just a suggestion) as they fall on the same road and nearer to the beach. This hotel lacks a lot of things and needs to improve its standards :
Some good points :
Overall not worth it. You can find better hotels more towards Chaweng Beach main entrance area or Lamai Beach area by spending a little more money.
My husband and I stayed here for a week in Nov 2019. Not the greatest of hotels, but it was cheap so we don’t expect the world! The photos on Agoda are misleading which is disappointing as it doesn’t set a very good starting point on arrival. If the whole place had a really good clean, it would be immediately better! The WiFi is good and the hotel is close to the beach...you have to walk a bit to get a decent bit of beach, but that’s fine. Disappointingly breakfast was served out in the open by the pool (the restaurant was being renovated), which in itself sounds lovely...however there were LOTS of flies and ants around, plus the added surprise of fruit and leaves falling off the trees you sat under! Breakfast was nice and the staff there were always friendly. The rooms are unnecessarily dark with few lights which is quite frustrating when you want to see! The shower was either boiling hot or freezing cold, a happy medium was never an option! We had a weird situation when the maid came to clean our room when we were at breakfast and when we came back, the toilet roll had been taken! She was just next door so I asked her for some, but I was told there wouldn’t be any until 2pm. Annoying, but fine. I went down to the toilets by the pool to get some from there, when I came back, the maid’s superior (rude as anything!!) was stood outside the cleaning cupboard glaring at me - it was weird but I didn’t think too much of it as she was grumpy the entire time we were there. Anyway, we went out a bit later and passed the cleaning cupboard which had a half roll of toilet paper in - presumably the one from our room which she was guarding! So weird, but given everything else, nothing surprised me! Stay there if you like, but don’t expect anything special!
Recently stayed there with my wife and the pictures do not match the worn, property. There is no where to sit around the pool by the hotel and I wouldn’t sit around the beach one either. It it is tatty and has perturbing nails. You have to eat breakfast outside and you will get bitten to no end there. This is due to renovations but they do nothing about the bugs, leaves and other bits out there, as you try and eat. The breakfast was ok though and the staff were nice. However when trying to order dinner at 7.30pm - you couldn’t but again through advertisement it said it was open until 8.30pm.
The cleaning is sub standard and on one occasion they even took our toilet roll out of our room and gave it to someone next door, as they had run out. Absolutely outrageous!!! When confronted the head cleaner - she is pregnant denied it and actually hid the roll. This woman is rude and also unapproachable, a bit like the female hotel manager actually. I would like to know why she stares at you so much as if she is doing you a favour let you stay there. She is unapproachable and actually doesn’t even greet you all the time. Management needs a course of customer service. The resident cat had better customer service. Seriously though people expect better.
You can get much better places for the money you pay and this is like a second hotel stay. I would rate this 2* and not 3*!!! The WiFi connection is poor so don’t bank on calls home.
Couldn’t wait to get out of this place. The beach is dirty and not private as stated. Go somewhere else!
Upon arrival we were offered a free upgrade for our room which made us feel welcome and well cared for the problems start to arise later! We were waiting for a friend the day after, even though 80% of the hotel was empty he had to pay full price for the same room (double of what we were charged) then he decided to stay for another two days and went to ask for a deal, now I can understand if the hotel was full and they didn’t want to give it to him but at week end the hotel was still 80% empty and yet they refused but the most disheartening thing was the rudeness with which the receptionist addressed us that was totally unnecessary, they lost a potential very good costumer just ok the back of that, also far from action you need a motorbike
