Set on the picturesque Chaweng Beach, Amari Koh Samui welcomes you with its soft sands and breathtaking sea vistas. Only an hour's flight away from Bangkok, Samui Airport is easily accessible from the resort and its surrounding restaurants, bars and shops. A tropical garden paradise, Amari Koh Samui features contemporary Thai designs in its decor and offers guests a selection of modern amenities and facilities. Dining options take guests on a flavourful journey from Asia through to Italy, and the two separate pools offer guests a place to escape and unwind - or have some fun under the sun! There is something for everyone at Amari Koh Samui.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Just settled back after another wonderful stay at Amari Koh Samui. Hotel was again faultless, despite some noisy guests the amazing Mac at the front desk handled this so professionally and moved us to another room the next day. Breakfast again was amazing and something to suit all nationalities and tastes, and refreshed throughout the morning. Staff and food at Amaya pool bar was great and we ate there many times. A mention to Penn, Jimmy, Honey and K, always service with a smile. Tbh everyone treated us and other guests so well, many new staff also doing an amazing job with a big smile, apologies I can’t remember everyone’s name. A special mention to Neung the pool attendant, he works so hard and is just an amazing asset to the team. Thank you also to Alexander and Christopher, you have helped us enjoy another great stay and we can’t wait to see you all again! There are a high percentage of repeat guests at this hotel, which I believe speaks volumes. Continue what your doing ❤️
Back home from another fantastic holiday in Koh Samui. This is our 3rd visit to the Amari, the first being on honeymoon 24 years ago. We choose to stay here because from the moment you arrive you are made to feel so welcome. The staff make the hotel a very special place and they do not stop working hard to make your holiday very special. From the security man who crosses you over the road to the Samui garden team, they are all wonderful people. Special shout out to K, Noong, Sea, Mint, Arm and Penn, ( I can’t remember all their names , unfortunately) Penn is a wonderful asset to the hotel. A special thanks goes to Mint in reception as we were due to stay at the Melia in Cheong Mon for our second week, but when we arrived at the Melia they had ongoing construction works and we were very disappointed. We cancelled and went straight back to the Amari who hadn’t got an available room for the whole week for 4 of us , but after some moving around rooms ,Mint did her best to get us back in to enjoy what could have been a disaster, we can’t thank her enough . A few changes have been implemented, like the happy hours and this is a great incentive for guests to stay at the hotel instead of wondering off down the beach . Perfectly placed just far enough out the madness of Chaweng, close to the 7/11 and Topps Daily. The food is wonderful , we did a special seafood night on the beach too with live entertainment, and the breakfast to die for. Keep doing what you’re doing , can’t wait for the next time. Thankyou .
Our room was 20 minutes late when we were changing rooms, due to damage from the previous guest, and very kindly, they gave us a free voucher for the seafood buffet on the beach. They absolutely went above and beyond for such little inconvenience. It was the same in every aspect of our experience here. Lovely, lovely staff.
Very disappointing experience. Didn’t meet the five star mark in particular the facilities. Smalls were small and nothing fantastic - more like pools you’d find at a home. Beach was not swimmable at all - murky, mossy and pebbly. Often had to remind housekeeping to clean the room and replenish the towels. Breakfast was good with lots of options and Thai Village room was nice. However, wished I had booked Melia or a five star resort that met the standards in particular for kids’ facilities. Felt my whole stay was a let down:( Tried several times to cancel our booking after doing more research on the hotel but unfortunately was non-refundable.
Fantastic holiday. The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet is the only way to start the day with a very wide selection of dishes. Our room was on the ground floor as requested next to the pool with an unbelievable play pool. (Disabled) The cleaning staff friendly and efficient, even made my daughters birthday a day to remember and the chocolate cake was delicious. There were 5 pools catering for everyone's needs even sub-aqua training. Even the road crossing was manned to ensure a safe crossing, friendly and even let my granddaughter se the light sticks when we came back. Ideally situated for trips arranged by hotel staff or easy to pick up a songtao to get around the island, reasonably priced. Son-in-law happy because a 7/11 and king kabab just around the corner and a pharmacy close by (sunburn) The beach was long and lovely, could see it when having breakfast. Granddaughter wants to know when we can go back, there were children activities, but just too busy with elephants, Capybaras and pools!
