Exceptional - Couldn't Have Asked For More!
The property is beautiful. It's the largest resort on the entire island. The golf buggies they provide are so well organized.
The staff were exceptional! And the rooms are well maintained. I wouldn't hesitate to visit again soon and my kids are already asking when we're going back.
It was beautiful weather when we went but also extremely sunny and hot. The only area that needed a little attention was the mini golf.
Lastly, a few staff members deserve a few shouts outs. Hermione who checked us in made us feel so welcome. Our kids absolutely adored her. Dow was so knowledgeable about the swim reef and it's marine life. Definitely visit for a feeding and have a chat with her. And finally Reuben gave us some fantastic ideas for things to do and places to visit. The staff made this such a memorable holiday not to mention an immaculate resort.
We're guaranteed to return!

I have stayed at various Ritz-Carlton properties around the world, but this one has a distinct atmosphere that differs from the typical image of the brand. There are clear strengths and areas for improvement. My initial impression was shaped by the cramped reception area and the lackluster entrance approach. However, the staff were kind, and the room was spacious with a wonderful view; the drainage was also excellent—a rarity among hotels in Koh Samui. The food, while a matter of personal taste, was of a quality commensurate with the price. Regarding the complimentary wine served at the front desk during sunset: the quality was terribly poor. I would happily pay for it if it meant the quality was raised to a level befitting the beauty of the sunset. Overall, however, I had a comfortable stay, and getting around by buggy was not a hassle. One final request: it would be even better if we could contact the concierge via WhatsApp, just as we do for buggy requests, rather than having to call.
Beyond Expectations: A Truly Memorable Stay
We were truly impressed by The Ritz-Carlton, Koh Samui, from the very beginning of our journey, starting with the reservation process all the way through our stay.
A special thank you to Khun Pop from the Reservation team, who was extremely helpful and attentive from the start. He provided us with detailed information and thoughtful recommendations when choosing the most suitable room for our family.
Afterward, our arrangements were seamlessly handed over to the Concierge team, where Khun Ikkew took wonderful care of us. He coordinated our airport transfer, arranged a private space for us to have a business meeting with our clients, organized our birthday cake, and most importantly, communicated our family’s food allergies to the relevant departments to ensure that everything was properly taken care of.
Even before arriving at the resort, we were already impressed. The VIP Commuter waiting for us at the airport was brand new, clean, and well prepared with refreshments and cold towels. The driver was very polite and professional, making us feel well taken care of from the moment we landed.
Upon arrival, we received such a warm welcome from the entire Front Office team. Khun Nick personally assisted us throughout the check-in process and made sure we had all the information we needed. His attention to detail made the arrival experience smooth and genuinely welcoming.
One of the highlights of our stay was definitely the breakfast experience. Since one of our family members has food allergies, the restaurant team took the matter very seriously. The host and the restaurant supervisor came to speak with us personally and made sure they fully understood the situation. We were especially impressed that the hotel arranged for a chef who specializes in Southern Thai cuisine to prepare a special meal for us separately from the main breakfast buffet, helping to minimize the risk of cross-contamination. This level of care truly meant a lot to our family.
For my husband’s birthday, the team also surprised us with a complimentary birthday cake, beautifully presented along with warm birthday wishes. It was such a thoughtful gesture and made his special day even more memorable.
The Housekeeping team was also attentive throughout our stay, checking in with us to make sure everything was comfortable and asking whether we needed anything or if there were any issues that needed attention. Our room was clean and very well maintained.
What impressed us most was not only the beautiful resort itself, but the genuine care, attention to detail, and consistency of service across every department. Every member of the team we encountered made us feel welcomed and well looked after.
Thank you to The Ritz-Carlton, Koh Samui, for making our trip—celebrating my husband’s birthday, spending quality time with our family, and meeting with our business clients—such a wonderful and memorable experience.

I can truly say that it was a wonderful experience spending our dinner time at Sea Breeze grill restaurant. The food was tasty, and the service was exceptional!! Special thanks to Khun Nino, Mew, Ploy, and Nay for their incredibly warm service and continued professionalism throughout.
