Tamarina Bed and Beyond

My cousin and I were there in Nov 2019 for 4 nights. First impression of this hotel was panoramic view of ocean. Unfortunately, I booked Deluxe Ocean Front room, but they gave me Deluxe Sea View room (I did not ask why?). At that time of my booking, these two rooms had nearly the same rate. The ocean front room is nicer view and bigger. The sea view room also has nice view but it is lacking off privacy. Since when you open curtain to see view through glass wall, people outside can directly watch you into the bed! And when you close curtain, the only thing you see is inside room only (and dark). There is the beach bar nearby with average price. But they start turning on loud Bossa Nova music quite early in the afternoon and everyone in hotel can hear it. So, please keep in mind if you are the 'peace seeker' then it must be annoying.

There is restaurant in hotel. But I was informed that this restaurant did not belong to the hotel (different owner). So, you can not sign bill into your room and no room service. The good thing of this restaurant is the sunset view where you can sit on the edge and have superb panoramic view of ocean. But it is always crowded with people. So, don't expect for the tranquil atmosphere (a bit loud, some are smoking, drunk too). Food at this restaurant is quite overpriced and not as good. In the later day, I was there during happy hour (16:00-18:00) for the drink only.

Breakfast was served in pool area until 10:30AM. it's simple but enough. For the room, bed is perfect (love it!!). But the water pressure in bathroom is not good and it is very difficult to adjust the temperature of hot water into the right temperature.

Staffs are friendly. They are helpful and service mind. In overall, I may be back to stay in this hotel again.

Hey so I had mixed feeling for this place after staying there.....

On first look it’s very fancy. Modern Scandinavia style. And it is very clean. Which is nice. Free tea and coffee is provided. Also dressing gowns and towels and a hair dryer, shampoos and body wash. Even umbrellas and a mini fridge . We were on the bottom floor. Next to the pool ( there was no one else in the rooms next to us) So it was nice and private and the views where lovely. From the pool you can even see the big budda!

This place isn’t cheap though, so it could be better.

The toilet roll was half used so we ran out very quickly. But also the ends where folded which was a nice touch.

My pillow had a hole in the pillow case which didn’t bother me but is worth mentioning.

We had breakfast to our room, and the breakfast had a lot to offer but came stone cold! Like it wasn’t slightly heated at all which was disappointing ( i would of complained but we didn’t hav time as we where flying a couple of hours later)

Also the beach beds where a big run down with holes in them etc which was a shame. As most of it is very slick it disheartening some things aren’t higher maintained.

And one last thing in the morning there was a horrible toilet smell and we couldn’t work out where it was from but it was over whelming.

But the location is great ! 5 minute walk from the big budda and 15 minute walk or less to the big laughing budda. Which was great, we could be very productive in the one day we had there.

We would probably go again if it was a one night thing. But not for a long time. For the price you can find much better in my opinion.
