The resort is located on Bangsak Beach, in the South Western province of Phang-nga. Bangsak offers the longest stretch of beach in Khaolak. The beach is quiet, and offers excellent swimming and sunbathing, as well as there being some local seafood restaurants along a beach-front promenade. It is 75 minutes north of Phuket International Airport, 19 km north of Khaolak centre, and 15 minutes south of Takuapa Town. Situated on 19 acres populated with tropical casuarinas and coconut trees, and featuring beach frontage and a lagoon, it offers a truly unique setting. The interiors and furniture of rooms are contemporary Asian-style, and the rooms come fitted with all the modern amenities necessary for a contemporary stay, they feature en suite bathrooms and modern appliances.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Haadson Resort is a lovely quiet, peaceful and friendly resort. No major thrills but it is clean and comfortable with helpful and friendly staff, a swimming pool and miles of open and uncrowded beach. It is quite as it’s just north of khao lak but a few local eateries are available as well as the hotel kitchen. We booked 2 nights, stayed 4 and could have stayed longer if we had the time. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a quiet resort. We also noticed they are responsive to previous reviews regarding faulty aircon units and paint work etc as this has all clearly been recently replaced and updated. We loved it and hope to return.
Beautifully located laid back resort on a fabulous beach, where you can walk for miles. Spotlessly clean comfortable rooms in gorgeous tropical gardens with wonderful staff and an amazing breakfast. Great pool and excellent value for money evening meal. Well recommended resort, away from Khao Lak, good for day visits to Khao Sok National Park. Great stay.
I stayed here as a solo female traveller and my review reflects that. When I arrived, the staff at reception were very surprised I was travelling by myself, to the point I felt a bit uncomfortable. Whilst walking to my room, I was asked about my relationship status and told that everyone else staying there were couples. I have travelled the world by myself and this is the first time I have been made to feel uncomfortable so it wasn't a great first impression and I did try to avoid some staff on reception afterwards as I felt a bit judged. On the positives, the hotel is gorgeous, the rooms are spacious, the cleaning is superb and the grounds are really well kept. Loads of birds and wildlife around, the pool is nice and it's a two minute walk to a fabulous beach. They need to supply more deckchairs though or stop people getting up early to put their towels on them (you see this selfishness everyone so realistically I'm not sure what they could do to stop people being selfish idiots). Breakfast was particularly good and I found the staff here to be friendly and welcoming which was a welcome relief. The lighting at night could do with improvement. I found it a bit unsettling to walk through the resort after sunset. One morning, I was picked up before sunrise for an excursion and the whole resort was pitch black which was pretty scary! Overall I would definitely recommend but maybe not if you're a solo female traveller!!!
Stayed for three nights. With the band playing on the beach at night I wouldn’t call the experience “tranquil “ as the description on the website suggests. Personally I would not return because of that.
This was our 4th visit to this small friendly hotel over the past 10 years. It has changed very little in that time and never fails to make us feel welcome. The staff are genuinely lovely, always smiling and trying to help especially Ezek in the restaurant. We always stay in one of the villa rooms which are located around a lagoon in beautiful tropical gardens. It is peaceful and tranquil and definately not the place to come if you require any form of entertainment or Themed dining in the evenings. The pool is small but never gets busy and there is usually no issues with the loungers being reserved at the crack of dawn as is the case with so many hotels. We will return.
