Not impressed by their cocktail hour
We dropped into the Cha-Am Methavalai for their Happy Hour - unfortunately only to realize it came with some drawbacks:
Not all cocktails were available. It had to be the same cocktails, you could not mix (our craving had been for a Mai Tai and a Margarita, but that was not possible). Not very friendly service, even though there was lots of staff. And finally, VAT and service charge added to a bill.
But on a positive note, we are now acquainted with what must be the tiniest margarita on the planet - such lovely little dollhouse glasses, and so quickly to finish...

Food not cooked through
We ate here and the food was very disappointing. The service and attitude of the staff was excellent but I ordered lasagne and had to send it back twice for not being cooked through properly. We left without me eating which I have never done before anywhere.

Nice hotel and good value
Very good overall experience. Room was spacious and clean. Staff cheerful and appear happy. Good location even without transport. Nice beach area. Breakfast could use a little help...
1% at the beach!
BANDIDOS MC 1% territory, clubhouse next door, Bandidos management and crew live at hotel. You often see them sitting at Methavalai breakfast and terrace. If this is your thing you’re booking the right hotel.
Hotel is big, close to beach. And service OK. Breakfast assortment broad but boring and bland. Rooms good enough.
Cleaning crew don’t seem to understand no or please don’t clean room signs.

Perfect place for a relaxing beach trip
Quite a nice hotel , clean & comfortable, food good , always a lot of choice at buffet breakfast, nicely located, beach across road . Plenty of eateries in walking distance. Makes for a good beach holiday just chilling. Very peaceful in evening ( we were here February) great night sleep had with no disturbances.only staying for 4 nights but really enjoyed our stay here .
