- Amari Bangkok

Centrally located, Amari Bangkok is home to three restaurants and an extensive recreation deck with Breeze Spa, fitness centre, squash courts and aerobics studios. Guest rooms start from 40 square metres and are among the largest in the area. The hotel is also ideal for meetings and celebrations of all sizes, offering 22 meeting rooms and various outdoor events venues.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
It's a very centrally located hotel , good rooms and good food as well. Ms July lobby manager was very courteous and helpful it changed my opinion about the staff totally.
Disappointing service and bizarre midnight requests at a 5-star hotel Great location, but the service attitude needs a major overhaul Amari Bangkok has a nice internal atmosphere and a great location, but unfortunately, the service we experienced during our two-day stay really let us down. For a 5-star hotel, the customer care and attention to detail were well below standard. A few specific issues made our stay quite frustrating: The 2:00 AM TV Dilemma: Our room TV wasn’t working, and we asked to have it fixed to watch the England vs. Norway FIFA match. After an initial technician couldn't fix it, a female staff member and the technician knocked on our door at 2:00 AM. They claimed the TV needed a special gadget and actually asked us to sign an agreement just to have it installed! We refused, as a working TV is a basic expectation for a luxury hotel. Their alternative was offering to change our room at 2:00 in the morning. Waking guests up past midnight to sign paperwork for a broken TV is just poor customer care. Cramped Bathroom: The bathroom layout felt very tight, packed, and definitely didn't feel like a 5-star standard. Unresponsive Front Desk: The pump on the shower gel bottle was broken. We notified reception, but received absolutely no response or replacement. Breakfast Confusion: The breakfast venue was moved without any prior notice. When we asked for directions, the staff sent us the wrong way, leaving us wandering around the hotel looking for food. While the property itself looks good, the staff’s service attitude feels highly irresponsible. Hopefully, management can address these communication and maintenance issues for future guests. I stayed at Amari Bangkok in Room 2208 and had a mixed experience.
The biggest concern was the condition of the room. The washroom wall was damaged and clearly required repairs. There was also noticeable dampness near the AC shaft, which gave the room an unmaintained feel. For a hotel of this category, I expected much better upkeep.
Another disappointing experience was that the hotel refused to wash my baby's feeding bottle. As a family traveling with a young child, this was surprising. I have stayed at many hotels around the world, and this is the first one where such a basic request was declined. A little flexibility for families with infants would make a big difference.
On the positive side, the rooms are spacious and comfortable. The breakfast buffet offers a good variety of options and was enjoyable each morning.
The hotel's biggest advantage is its location. It is close to Platinum Fashion Mall, CentralWorld, and several other shopping complexes, making it very convenient for shopping and dining. However, there is ongoing construction in the area, so traffic can become noisy and extremely congested during peak hours.
Overall, the hotel has an excellent location and good facilities, but room maintenance and family-friendly service need significant improvement. With better upkeep and a more accommodating approach toward guests traveling with children, the experience would be much better.
We just spent six wonderful nights at the Amari. This was our first stay at the hotel but we’ve been to Bangkok many times.
We found the location of the hotel to be excellent as there is so much within walking distance. Platinum Mall is across the street and Central World and Big C are just around the corner. Siam Paragon and MBK are not much more than a 10 minute walk via the R Walk. The hotel was also very quiet at night.
We stayed in a Club Premier King Room on the 17th floor. There were welcome treats waiting for us in the room which was a nice touch. The room we had was very well appointed and was kept spotlessly clean throughout our stay. The bed was too hard for us and we let the Club staff know. They arranged for housekeeping to add a glorious mattress topper to the bed which made a world of difference to our sleep quality. We had a coffee machine which was also well used each morning. There was also a range of lovely TWG teas for us to enjoy. You also get a complimentary one time non-alcoholic mini bar of drinks to use. All the other amenities in the room were great and the shower was awesome too.
While the room was spacious I think we’d book the next size room if we return so that we have more space to spread out.
We used the amazing swimming pool most days. It’s unusual for a city hotel to have such a nice pool, this is a big plus.
Our room came with Club benefits which we thoroughly enjoyed. We had a wonderful breakfast there each day with great barista made coffee. You could also go the Club for drinks and light snacks during the day and also enjoy afternoon tea from 2 – 4. The highlight for us was the evening drinks and canapes each night. To use the word canapes is an understatement as there was a large amount of amazing food to enjoy. Each night there are four curated specials you can order. This was great as the treats on offer were different every day. The selection of cocktails and other drinks was fantastic. The Club is a classy and sophisticated environment and it felt special sitting within it.
The huge plus for us were the amazing ever smiling staff who couldn’t do anymore than did to make us feel welcome and valued every time we saw them. In particular, our Housekeeper Weerapon was a delight. He truly is a lovely guy who looked after us very well. Sadly, he wasn’t there on the last day for us to say goodbye. The staff in the Club are also amazing and looked after us like we were VIPS. We can’t thank them enough. The team of Faii, World, Ploy, Sun, Thip, Nam, Mook, KJ and Am are the nicest most hospitable people you can imagine. Truly wonderful. We can’t wait to see them again.
All in all a fantastic stay. We think we’ve found our ‘home’ when we’re next in Bangkok.
Excellent location, good food and comfortable rooms! I can recommend this hotel without any hesitation having stayed multiple times .
