Just a 5-minute drive from Ubud, this boutique resort hotel is located in the Petanu valley, near the village of Nagi, and offers spectacular views of the river gorge and terraced paddy fields beyond. Ubud Market and the Monkey Forest are both about 5 minutes away. The drive from Denpasar to the hotel takes about 40 min, while the journey from Bali International Airport to the hotel takes approximately 50 minutes. All rooms open onto a large infinity-edge swimming pool set in a lush tropical garden which offers great view of a forested ravine and a river. All the rooms have all the comforts expected of a hotel in its class. Guests can participate in activities such as jogging and cycling around the village. Breakfast is offered. Lunch and dinner are available either à la carte or from a set menu. This resort will enchant the guests with its warm hospitality and surrounding beauty.

Excellent Experience at The Viceroy Bali
I am a seasoned traveller and I had the pleasure of staying at the Viceroy Bali for a family holiday. Our experience at the Viceroy Bali was truly exceptional. The property is impeccably maintained, with an extraordinary attention to detail throughout. Our villa was spacious and beautifully designed, fully immersed in authentic Balinese style, and featured a private pool overlooking a lush jungle setting. The resort’s architecture is thoughtfully conceived to create an intimate and exclusive atmosphere—an experience that stands out on an island which can, at times, be affected by mass tourism. At the Viceroy, one is genuinely immersed in the tranquillity of Balinese nature, while still remaining conveniently close to key attractions. The hotel’s restaurants are outstanding, and the service is exemplary. The staff are professional, gracious, and available around the clock, consistently delivering a high level of care and attention. The hotel also offers an excellent private tour service, which further enhanced our stay. I would highly recommend the Viceroy Bali; it is, in my view, a true 10 out of 10 destination. We very much look forward to returning.
Amazing! Amazing! Amazing!
Amazing! Amazing! Amazing! From the moment we entered the grounds we felt at home. The staff make this hotel special. Everyone greets you with a hello and a smile and by the second or third time by your name. The food is fantastic with a large assortment of options at breakfast. As a Lifetime Diamond, this is one of my most memorable hotels in the 1000+ nights I’ve stayed around the world with Hilton properties. We were upgraded one level of room from our booking. We did not want to leave and wish we planned more nights than originally planned. I highly recommend!

Exceptional Hotel
The Viceroy hotel in Bali is a truly sensational hotel. I have been lucky enough to stay is some fabulous hotels but the Viceroy pips them all. It is the perfect mix. I bought my 18 year old daughter away for a special trip just the two of us & we started our adventure at the Viceroy. We couldn’t have been happier with our choice. The facilities, villas, decor, ambiance, food & most particularly the staff were amazing. They know everyone by name & seem to know what you want or need before you even know yourself! Every last detail is considered & there was nothing I could suggest to improve.
All the staff were brilliant but special mention must go to Tomas & his team from the Aperitif restaurant. Tomas helped us enjoy a very special night at the fine dining restaurant- a place you do not expect to find in Bali. Both the food & service, in my opinion, rival any fine dining/Michelin restaurant. We mentioned to Tomas that my daughter was visiting Prague in a few weeks & the next day he put together a Prague guide for her. So kind. This hotel is truly exceptional. I like to visit new places & rarely return to a hotel but this is certainly the exception. I will definitely be returning.

Excellent experience with family in Ubud
It was our first time in Bali and we had a Fantastic time at the Viceroy. The staff was super attentive, the room was great (we had the 2 bedroom suite), and the facilities were fantastic. Our two kids had some allergies but the hotel was super careful and ensured that our children were safe while enjoying as much of the food as possible. We also used their driver for a tour around the Ubud area (rice terrace, volcano etc) and the guide/driver was knowledgeable, accommodating and very personable. Highly recommend this place.
Incredible service and hotel at the Viceroy
We stayed at the Viceroy for 7 nights to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary.
First impressions of the hotel are very impressive. We booked a deluxe terrace room which has been renovated recently. The best feature of the room is the huge heated infinity pool which over looks the valley and jungle.
The service at this hotel is impeccable. The food is incredible and always arrives on time and the staff are so attentive.
We would like to specially thank Wiaata the hotel driver who took us on all of our excursions. He was so polite and knowledgable and gave us lots of good advice on what to see and when.
We had 3 massages each at the spa. My wife’s masseuse, Astee, was amazing and would like to thank her for the treatments.
Overall it is a beautiful boutique hotel in a wonderful location to see all of Ubud has to offer. I’m sure we will be back again one day!
