Beautiful balcony room with excellent service & amenities
A wonderful experience for all ages and types of rooms, etc. The location is on the lesser busy street parallel to Monkey street. Be aware, you have to go all the way around to get to places as you cannot go through the forest to the other main roads. Tip: if you ask the front desk a day ahead, they will drive you up to the middle of town as long as they aren't doing an airport run (it's free). They don't go other places or do pick ups. We were walkers but being seniors like to conserve our steps for where it is necessary. From this location we were halfway between the center of town and the Sacred Monkey Forest which we absolutely loved. The main part of the property is set back along the forest ridge so it is quiet and has a beautiful view of lush foliage. It is spotless, and the garden walkway between the front desk and the dining area is enchanting. The in-room amenities include a limitless drinking water piece of equipment they service daily, a gratis stocked mini-bar (you pay for refills), the usual robes & slippers, etc. We had daily construction inside the hotel right next to our room, but it was not too loud or disruptive, just unsightly when you walked to/from your room. Afternoon tea & snacks (also included) was a treat! Around the corner from the 2nd pool is a gorgeous open air room with tables and plush seating...have your meal or tea in here one day. You can reserve the two balcony tables for meals as well or show up if they're not taken. The price is higher than a regular hotel, it is a resort and it is absolutely worth it if you enjoy the property amenities. I would certainly recommend it; wonderful people, great service!

Wonderful boutique hotel
Love the cosy boutique hotel. It is around 15 mins slow walk to the main street, which makes it very convenient. Our room with private pool was huge. Staff were very friendly and helpful. A la carte breakfast was delicious, and very filling! We got to enjoy a free 30 minute massage, and the masseuse was great. All in all a wonderful stay.
Beautiful views, great service
We stayed at Goya for 4 nights, its tucked back from the chaotic tourist shopping streets in the ever popular Ubud. The area of the resort is situated in a much more peaceful spot if you want rest from over crowded streets, scooters and grab cars. If you are up for a walk it only took as a pleasant 15 mins walk to get to the main tourist roads in Ubud which took us past the Monkey Forest. We did this twice daily to burn off the calories. Otherwise plenty of ride options. The hotel is boutique or in other words smaller so caters amazingly to the individual guests. The view from the restaurant and infinity pool is stunning, food is delicious, cocktails fantastic, staff very helpul and lovely. The room was stylishly appointed and was fitted out perfectly and the bed very comfortable. Every late afternoon we would spend an hour or two cooling off swimming and tasting new cocktails or bites from the food menu. The cultural experience dinner was a highlight. Personally we could not share a fault we had an amazing time and also had a free transfer from Ubud to the international airport to sadly return home...back to reality lol. While initially booking with Goya I encountered work commitments so had to reschedule, they where prompt, professional and very helpful at assisting the reschedule process. Our first trip to Bali from Perth Western Australia and undoubtedly not our last xxx
