On the fringe of Ubud overlooking Tjampuhan Valley. About one-hour drive from the Denpasar International Airport.COMO Uma Ubud is located in the center of Bali. The hotel occupying a 3 hectare site is hidden on the fringe of Ubud overlooking the Tjampuhan Valley amid paddy fields carved out of hillsides backed by coconut palms and banyan trees. The river Oos runs below - one side stands a mountain. The town where there are numerous shops-galleries and local restaurants is a five-minute drive/20-minute walk.
The heart of the hotel - the lobby -25m pool and bar - is open clean and simply designed. This contrasts with the paths running between tall lushly-planted walls that lead to rooms.
All villas have walled tropical gardens. The bathrooms and principal living space is separated by an outdoor area. Carved panels open up rooms to incorporate views and the scent of forest while the volumes of light flows through interiors from the bedroom through to garden terraces - private courtyards and infinity-edge plunge pools.
The Terrace Rooms located throughout the resort are each 45sqm with garden terraces. The Garden Rooms positioned along the northern perimeter all 53sqm with a private courtyard. The Uma Pool Suites are 94sqm and have infinity-edge pools with views across the valley down to the snaking river. The Uma Suite is similar but without a pool. The COMO Suite located on the southern edge of the resort has the best pool as well as a private treatment area.
In-room facilities are decadent. The open-air bathrooms all include separate baths and shower. Facilities include flatscreen TVs with satellite channels - DVD players a personal safe - Yoga mats and minibars.
The restaurant is called Kemiri. The open air space seating 70 in addition to an intimate private dining room - stylish area beside a waterfall-fed pond - with light airy alang-alang ceilings. Kemiri serves breakfast - lunch and dinner. All Day Dining is also available

Superb Resort
We've just spent 2 nights at this wonderful boutique resort and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Our room was spacious and well appointed. The breakfast at the Kemiri was amazing, the Italian restaurant Uma Cucina serves up creative dishes with great flavors and the Uma Bar by the pool is terrific. All the staff were warm, friendly and attentive and I can't give them enough praise. Como Uma also has a great location, just minutes away from the town center. I highly recommend a stay at this fine resort
Truly wonderful solo stay
Absolutely wonderful experience at COMO Uma Ubud. As a solo traveler one of the things I worry about most is finding a sense of community and comfort in an unfamiliar place, and this hotel delivered both effortlessly.
The staff here are incredibly friendly, welcoming, and professional. From opening the door every time I returned, to greeting me with “welcome home,” to offering personal tips and suggestions on what to do around Ubud, they made me feel genuinely cared for.
Yes, this place is expensive, but you truly get premium quality. I’ve stayed at places where the price didn’t match the experience… this was not one of those. The massages were impeccable, the place was beautiful, the energy was warm, the nightly turndown service was such a thoughtful touch, and the food was consistently great. It’s the little details that make the difference.
I loved it so much that I extended my stay by a few extra nights and don’t regret it at all. The hotel even suggested I rebook through my credit card to earn additional points rather than booking directly with them, which says a lot about how much they prioritize guest well being over profit.
Highly recommend for anyone seeking comfort, nature, and genuine hospitality in Ubud.

A truly fantastic property!
We stayed for 4 nights at this exceptional property. I came away feeling totally relaxed as there is a sense of calm tranquility radiating throughout the entire place. I absolutely loved it!

Como Uma keeps us coming back!
If there is a hotel that will keep you coming back it will be Como Uma Ubud. It is one of those magical places that has the right balance, warm & welcoming, understated luxury, divine food and spa treatments, beautiful decor and first class services. But if I had to choose one thing that shines and keeps us coming back it is without door the Staff. They treat you like you are family and their attention to detail is remarkable. Starting each morning with yoga under the guidance of Budi is a gift that Como Uma offers. Budi is a very experienced and exceptional teacher and can confidently guide all levels of yoga within each class. After yoga you will be delighted by breakfast in the Kimiri restaurant. The setting is just gorgeous and the staff will welcome you with the Best Breakfast, coffees and fresh juices that Bali has to offer. Breakfast is a real 10/10 experience. Thank you to Yande, Murtini, Orta and their team for serving us each morning. Every time we return we look forward to seeing you at Kimiri restaurant for breakfast . My list could go on and on. I recommend this gem of a hotel. It is one not to be missed.

Understated and accessible luxury
Everything was exceptional. We stayed here for 8 nights. Even though everything was great, the service stood out above all else. It’s understated and accessible luxury, but feels boutique and exclusive. The staff all remember your name, they ask you about yourself and your day, what you have planned, and remember to ask later how that activity went. They are just so helpful. My wife lost her ring in the wardrobe as there was the tiniest gap, which she managed to drop it down, the maintenance staff came right away and had to saw a hole in the base to retrieve it - with no complaints. We tipped them obviously, but the fact they went to such lengths at the drop of a hat with no issues just felt like they really care about you personally. All the staff do this in their own way. They really do make the place special. The excursions they provide are all top notch. The rooms and finishes around the hotel are done very well and with real design attention, it feels totally cohesive. The food and drinks are really good quality. The location for us was perfect, just outside of the centre of Ubud so you were 5 minutes in a taxi but far enough away for it to feel very secluded. All in all, we could absolutely recommend this hotel and will make Como our first choice when looking for hotels in the future. Value wise, absolutely outstanding. We also stayed at Como Shambala Estate later in the week which we will review separately.
