The location is unique - a spiritual enclave of jungle; river and sun-rich clearings north of Ubud. Ubud is the creative and cultural centre of Bali.
The Estate is a 15-minute drive from Ubud and a one-hour drive from Denpasar; Balis international airport with direct flights to Singapore; Hong Kong; London; Bangkok; Sydney and internal flights in Indonesia. The guests will be met at the Airport by the hotel representative and taken to the Estate car to be driven to the property.COMO Shambhala Estate is a villa-style residential health retreat occupying a 23-acre jungle-covered riverbank amidst the serenity and stunning landscape of Bali; The Estate is situated close to Ubud; also know as the creative and cultural centre of Bali. The Estate provides a total 360-degree experience closely tailored to each individuals needs; offering comprehensive lifestyle as well as healing programs to mend mind; body and spirit. We do this by combining a special protected environment with healing therapies - more than 20 Asian-inspired and Western holistic treatments developed by COMO Shambhala - delivered by supportive knowledgeable specialists. This is in addition to more than eight specialisations including; Ayurveda; Reflexology; Yoga; Pilates; Tai-Chi and Nutrition.
Guests engage with the place and with nature by partaking in exciting and exacting physical activities from guided runs through the Balinese hinterland to instruction on the climbing wall. They also connect with the spirit of peace that belongs to Bali and a well-balanced mind.

A Truly Grounding Experience
My stay at Como Shambhala was overall such a lovely and grounding experience. I was very kindly upgraded, which was such a nice surprise and made the stay even more special.
What truly stood out to me was the level of care and personal attention from the entire team. Everyone knowing my name, remembering me, and greeting me so warmly made such a huge difference. It created a genuine feeling of being cared for rather than simply being another guest.
A special mention to Shafa, my butler, who was exceptional throughout my stay. She was incredibly attentive, warm, and thoughtful, and really added to the overall experience.
If I had one area for improvement, it would be the mattress. I found the bed quite firm and unfortunately it wasn’t as comfortable for me as I would have preferred, especially for a wellness-focused stay where good rest is such an important part of the experience.
Overall, though, I left feeling grounded, cared for, and grateful for the experience. Thank you to the entire Como Shambhala team for making my stay so special.
Exceptional Hotel Experience
Quite simply the most special hotel i’ve ever been to. Everything was perfect. Beautiful landscape & interiors, amazing service (both friendly & efficient), incredible food. The whole experience from start to finish was considered and beautiful.
The Perfect Honeymoon Escape in Ubud
A wonderful honeymoon experience in Ubud. The property is incredibly spacious with only a small number of rooms, yet there are many staff members, making it feel exceptionally peaceful, private, and well cared for. The service was warm and attentive, with a private butler always responding quickly. We also loved the unique five-element design, the thoughtful honeymoon room upgrade and cake, and the professional wellness treatments and massages. A special thank you to Karti for taking such wonderful care of us and making our stay even more memorable. We would definitely stay here again when we return to Ubud.

Nestled in the jungle, this is an incredibly peaceful place filled with the soothing sounds of nature.
The quality of the wellness programs is exceptionally high, and the staff are consistently warm, attentive, and professional.
Their responsiveness is also excellent — whenever we called with a request, the staff responded promptly and took care of everything efficiently.

Amazing Hotel!
Quite possibly one of the best hotels we have stayed in the world. The villas are enormous and beautifully appointed, the grounds of the resort are minimalist but achieve a sense of upscale refinement. The spa is definitely one of the best we have experienced and woukd highly recommend a treatment in the outdoor pavilion, set up a beautiful hillside amongst the tropical forest. The food is high quality albeit not quite at the same level as the rest of the resort but it deliberately leans into local cuisine and very much health forward. The service not only matches the refined elegance and easily surpasses it. Our Butler Shafa was exceptional and seemed to anticipate all our needs and managed some tricky requests with a calm aplomb. The location is a nice distance from Ubud center which adds to the sense of calm relaxation that this resort exudes.
