The resort combines traditional Balinese aesthetics with modern style and comfort and the privacy of a traditional Balinese family compound. The 2-level restaurant is in the main building at the lobby entrance to the resort. Facilities include a 24-hour reception desk, a parking and currency exchange facilities. Laundry and dry cleaning services and a 24-hour doctor service are available. The en suite rooms are equipped with modern amenities. Each room has a private terrace or balcony, a comfortable bed with mosquito nets and individually controlled air conditioning units. The resort includes an outdoor pool and massage and spa treatments are available. Breakfast is served each morning and midday and evening meals are available in the restaurant.

two bed room vila
i stayed here for three nights two weeks ago. what a memorable times here. actually i booked one bed room villa, when arrived, the staff said already upgraded my room to two bed room villa. i cannot compare,but satisfied with this two bed room villa. since i travelled alone, they lock one of the bedroom. the living room is nice, plus a private pool, it is worth the money.not to mention the bathtub which is the bonus.the room is quite big with TV, fridge, kettle, coffee and tea, cups, toiletries…the staff did warn me sometimes monkeys will visit me.yes, i did saw them twice, but they are cute, and nothing happened to me, cuz i didn't put any food outside, or by the pool. just keep your stuffs inside the room, then it is ok. the resort’s location is great, close to many eateries and shops. breakfast provided at their restaurant, you can order one main and one juice. i ordered bubur ayam, eggs florentine, and eggs Benedict. besides, you can have coffee and tea, fruits, bread, jam etc in buffet style. i satisfied with their breakfast. so one night before check out, i had dinner at the restaurant, the food is delicious, the place is quiet also, if you want to stay at a quiet villa with private pool in the central area,then Barong resort is highly recommended!

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Disgusting place.
AVOID THIS PLACE. This place is abysmal, avoid it even if it was for free. We went there on our honeymoon with reasonable expectations about this pathetic excuse of a place to sleep in (I won't call it a hotel, because a hotel it is not). When we reached there we found that they changed the room we had already booked to another room without letting us know,a room that was so much worse than the one we paid for, I wasn't even sure if it was a room for guests, it was so dirty and the bathroom was seperated from the balcony by a plastic drape, with bugs and rat droppings everywhere. When we contacted the manager about this and asked for our room, he said that the room we picked had a water damge we no one can stay in it. Why were we not informed about this before we got there?? When we asked for a refund he refused and said that he don't care what we do and that we can go to the police if we wanted to and left us like that. We couldn't stay even a single night in that disgusting dump, and went to a different hotel. DO NOT BOOK HERE, AVOID AT ALL COST.

The location is perfect, near to most of nice things in Ubud, super central. There’s many restaurants, stores and everything you need around. August, an amazing employee that works at the reception was the biggest reason why we decided to give 5 starts to the place, his service was incredible, such an amazing person, we felt like home because of his treatment. Thank you so much!!
Reading some comments on google made us concerned and insecure about the security in the room, but everything was clarified to us. We stayed 5 nights and everything was just fine. Don’t believe every commentary you see here, some people are just evil and try to get things from every way they can. Also people complaining from “Geckos in the room” was hilarious for us. I don’t know how people expect the resort to control the geckos entering and leaving the rooms, it is even funny!
Bad points: During the night there is a Karaoke on a restaurant or a place just on the side, I don’t know how close it is but sometimes it seemed that it was inside of our room, so loud that unfortunately I couldn’t sleep.
The breakfast could be just a little bit bigger.
Anyway, it was so worthy and we would definitely recommend it!
Great overall experience
We had a great experience at this hotel. They are renovating but it was isolated and did not interfere with our stay at all. The shower was hot and the Air Con was cold - just the way we like it! The bed is the widest I’ve ever slept in - like a twin and full size mattress together so much wider than your standard king size bed. Service was excellent - really went out of the way to accommodate us. Breakfast had great options as well. Will definitely stay here again when back in Ubud!

The best experience in Ubud
We recommend this beautiful place, it’s been such a great time for us! Everything is perfect, the staff is so kind and lovely! The rooms are beautiful, the location is perfect! The prices are good, we are very happy. It looks like a dream jungle hotel♥️ don’t let food outside unless u wanna “summon” the monkeys😆 they alwaya stole the food we left outside, nothing else and they are friendly (if u don’t touch them amd just let them be). I am the happiest I saw monkeys here, it was my dream location to be honest.
