A piece of paradise in Seminyak
This must have been my fourth visit in as many years. I haven t tried other properties in Bali so far as the Oberoi always managed to delight me. The location is superb - right along a long stretch of white sand beach but still close to Seminyak center. The breakfast was excellent. The staff was excellent - very detail focused and full of little (positive) surprises (eg providing little stickers to shorten the charging cables.. This was the first time I stayed at one of the villas and the villa (with private pool) was simply fantastic. Beautifully decorated with all amenities. If I really want to nit-pick there are a few minor problems. I wished the safety box in the room was more eye level. Also, I noticed that for the wifi i had to 'forget network' and re-enter the login info every morning (oddly this was only the case for the phone, not my ipad). But these are very minor things.

Wonderful Service
The hotel was perfect in every way, however the service was truly exceptional, the best we have had anywhere in the world.

Wonderful Hotel
Highly recommend Oberoi, always has great service. It's the little things that make all the difference. Great location, wonderful grounds, quite, staff are amazing. very good facilities. Price point is up there, but you receive added value service
Best accommodation in Seminyak.
We had an amazing stay at The Oberoi Bali as the first leg if our Bali honeymoon trip. I will go as far as saying that we probably would have left Seminyak early if we didn’t have a great and relaxing time at the hotel because I truly think Seminyak is developing in the wrong direction currently but that’s not the hotel’s issue obviously.
We had a garden pool villa which was very beautiful and placed right at the far end of the resort which we absolutely loved for the quiet and privacy. The outside area had a massive pool, plenty of comfortable seating space that was prepared every day before we woke up and a very nice elevated spot to sit and have food/drinks or just chill. The bedroom and bathroom are both beautifully Balinese and very spacious, you most definitely get a sense of place.
Breakfast was great with plenty options and the kitchen staff ready to do anything how you wanted it. We also liked the bar for the ambiance, a quick snack or a quick drink. The amphitheater area is also very pretty and we had the rijsttafel there and it was also very good.
Spa treatment was very good, gym was serviceable but should have a few heavier weights as well.
In general my favorite thing about the hotel was its architecture and the warm hospitality. I would for sure recommend it and we will surely visit the Lombok Oberoi location as well in the future.
An absolutely first-rate resort
The Oberoi's do everything in a first class way at this first class resort. Breakfasts are marvellous in the Frangipani restaurant which doubles for lunch. The bar is excellent. We never found quite what we wanted in the top restaurant this time - we have been many times since the 1978 (!!) opening - but that was probably our fault. Staff are well-trained and wonderfully friendly. There are no faults.
