- The Haven Bali Seminyak

This amazing complex is a pioneering lifestyle resort situated in the dynamic hub of Seminyak, 5 minutes’ walk to Double Six beach, walking distance to boutique stores and restaurants and 15 drive to the airport. The restaurant offering food that is both healthy and delicious, pan-Asian classics and elaborations on international favourites. Business visitors are able to host meetings and conferences since the property offers the perfect venues. The rooms are all wrapped in new modern minimalist architecture, have a comfortable interior and feature all the essential amenities. They welcome guests and make them have the best experience.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
2nd time at the haven, and like my first experience, it was just as good. The gm is the most approachable person you could ever come across. Nothing was too difficult to arrange to make my stay amazing. The staff all went out of their way with any request I asked for. The private villa was pure luxury. Private pools, large open plan rooms and quiet. The service was impeccable, especially Desi in the Resturant and Adhi from customer service. Highly recommend as it’s so central to shops, supermarkets, night clubs etc.
I had contacted the hotel in advance to request an early check-in and was assured that priority check-in would be arranged. I arrived at around 2:40 p.m., but was informed that the room was not ready and that I would need to wait. While waiting in the lobby, I noticed other guests receiving welcome towels for their face and welcome drinks. I requested the same, but after waiting for some time, these were still not provided.
The waiting area also had very limited seating available. Although the front desk staff kindly suggested that I sit while waiting, there were hardly any available seats, which made the waiting experience even less comfortable. Considering my earlier communication with the hotel regarding my check-in arrangement, the arrival experience was quite disappointing.
On a positive note, the bell boy was very attentive and helpful. He assisted with bringing my luggage to the room and provided excellent service throughout the process. After I expressed my disappointment regarding the extended wait, the hotel arranged for another front desk staff member to assist me. She was professional, understanding, and genuinely apologetic about my experience. I appreciated her effort and willingness to resolve the situation, although the issue stemmed from the earlier handling of my arrival.
Upon entering the room, I was pleasantly surprised with a complimentary upgrade from a Premier Room to a Junior Suite. The room was spacious and offered a beautiful view overlooking the swimming pool area. However, despite the generous size, the room is noticeably dated, and many of the furnishings and facilities require significant upgrades to meet the expectations of a modern hotel.
The hotel provides only two complimentary bottles of drinking water per day, which felt quite limited for a room of this category. The buffet breakfast was fairly basic, although the made-to-order omelet was enjoyable. Unfortunately, the cakes and muffins were disappointing as they did not taste fresh. The muffin I tried was dry, crumbly, and had a powdery texture. It was difficult to eat, and I was unable to finish it.
Overall, the hotel has several positive aspects, including spacious rooms, a beautiful pool view, and some genuinely attentive staff members. However, the check-in experience, room condition, and breakfast quality require improvement. With better attention to guest arrival arrangements, facility upgrades, and consistency in service standards, the hotel has strong potential to provide a much better experience for future guests.
When I booked, I thought the hotel would be a business hotel type with no luxury. It turned out Haven is a luxury hotel with an affordable price.
Perfect location and away from the street noise. We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite, with separate lounge, dining and basic kitchen. The rooms had ample space and were serviced everyday. The staff are so friendly and always there to help if needed. A big shoutout to Agus S and the trainee that was working with him, they left our room with a cute little dog on the bed, thank you so much. The Haven is close to many great restaurants and very close to Bintang Supermarket. The beach is a short 10 minute stroll away, great for sunset drinks or something to eat. The pools at The Haven are very well looked after, we could not fault our stay. We would definitely stay again 💚🌴💚 Thank you to all the staff at The Haven 🦎
Very good location. The atmosphere is generally good Room - sorry, did not meet my expectations. The bathtub is not so clean, and the wall and especially the floor are pretty oily - probably due to the messages of previous guests. Value - good value for money Cleanliness - Average. The bathroom was not up to par. Noise level - The late-night music from nearby clubs is clearly heard - but what to do! Service - Breakfast at the restaurant was excellent. No one cleaned my room for my entire stay, actually, even though I did put the clean the room sign at the door. Amenities - Didn't try everything. But the pool was very good.
