“A Tropical Paradise in the Heart of the City”

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. Although it is located right in the heart of the city, you don’t really feel it – the beautiful surrounding nature makes you feel as if you were in a tropical forest. The swimming pool is fantastic, and the breakfast is delicious, with a lovely touch of Balinese tradition. The rooms are very clean, with fresh towels provided and the bed linen changed daily, which makes the stay even more comfortable. Twice a week the hotel offers Lauther Yoga sessions, which are not only relaxing but also deeply spiritual, guided by excellent instructors. In the evenings, you can also enjoy live music during dinner, which creates a magical atmosphere. The staff is very friendly and always ready to help, making the whole experience even more special. Another big advantage is the location – just a 5-minute walk to the beach. A perfect combination of city convenience, natural beauty, and cultural experience – we will definitely come back here!

Lovely hotel in a great location

We had an amazing stay for 2 weeks in September at the Bali Agung village and after reading all the reviews we were not disappointed with our choice. The hotel is small put perfectly designed in a traditional style with beautiful surroundings. Our room was large in size and had everything you need for a comfortable stay but the bathroom was on the small side and our only issue was a problem with the shower door due it having a large gap at the bottom it would flood the bathroom after we had a shower. The pool area is only small but is kept spotless and you have towels provided daily, the sun loungers are really comfortable but there aren’t many beds around the pool which can be a bit of a problem as the hotel was getting busier just before we left, it wasn’t a problem for us as we would go to the beach for the day. We had breakfast included in our stay but did find there was very little choice on offer, we had lunch a couple of times and an evenings meal a couple of times and the food was really nice and not much different in price than the bars and restaurants around the area. The beach, shops, bars and restaurants are only a 5 minute walk away from the hotel but you would never know as the hotel feels like it’s in the middle of nowhere. Check out is at 12 o’clock but we did have a cleaner hovering around the room about 9am which made us feel a little uncomfortable as we were not being picked up till 3pm so we had a couple of hours by the pool before we went to have a shower and pack the last of our things. Be aware that if you go to the beach you will be charged to use the sun loungers. It’s definitely worth a walk down to the beach to watch the sunset we sat on the bean bags with a nice cold beer and it was 1 of the best sun sets I’ve ever seen, you do get the locals trying to sell you stuff but a no thanks and they will leave you alone. All in all we had a fantastic stay and I would recommend the hotel to everyone

Relaxing but not one for those with mobility issues

Stayed at the Bali Agung Village for 14 nights Nov-Dec '25. Check in was swift and we were welcomed with a refreshing drink upon arrival. The hotel is located up a side alley which is not lit at night so can be a bit danergous if you are walking and there are potholes in the road so I would advise caution. We also found that if your mobility is not good then this may not be the hotel for you due to the uneven paths and steps leading to the accomodation etc. Overall a very relaxing quiet hotel away from the chaos of the motorbikes on the streets. Good value for money. Pool area is well kept and I think they have the most comfortable sunbeds I've been on! The swim up bar was not manned during our stay but that is not a problem just ask the dinning staff and they will bring what ever your heart desires - Beer, Cocktails, Food Menu etc. There are pool towels for use these can be picked up from the back of the swim up bar and again if there are none there just ask. Breakfast is served each morning from around 7am to 11am which is great means you can have a lie in! There are different dishes on offer and is changed each day. Sometimes there was bacon other days not and sausages tended to be either chicken or beef. Eggs are a daily item and you can ask for them to be done to your liking. The restuarant is open all day and evening. We had several meals here and they were always served with a smile and they are of a similar price to the outside vendors. Rooms we stayed in a standard room on an upper floor with a shared balcony overlooking the gardens. The room itself contained tea/coffee making facilities along with a insect burner. TV, Safe. With the safe while it is open where the hinge is there is a small button press this first then set your pin as the small button resets the code - otherwise like us you'll set the alarm off and have a laughing porter come to your aid. The bathroom had a great shower along with tolietries so if your short on luggage space don't bring them. The rooms are locked via a paddlock and key our was a bit fiddley but my sisters was easy to operate. One tip download the My Bluebird app it's basically their Uber which we found was really useful the drivers are super friendly and as its all on the meter your not going to get ripped off. Unless you like travelling via motorbike of which there are many. Would recommend this hotel for its location and relaxed, quiet atmosphere somewhere you can really chill but get to the beach within 5 minutes or the main town.

A peaceful, boutique, authentic place to stay - for grown ups!

I’m very happy with my decision to have a restorative mini break here…it is exactly as all the other reviews say - classic Bali style, green, lush, slightly tired looking ( like me!)but in a good way🤣. I won’t repeat why others have said but just affirm that the positioning is great, 5/10 minutes walk from the beach front and shops/ bars/ restaurants in the other direction
