Prama Sanur Beach Bali

This hotel is a solid three stars. At check in I felt I was just a number. Had to navigate my way to find my room after being fobbed off at the counter upon check in and then by the bell boys… quite average to say the least. This hotel is huge so be prepared for the masses. Especially at breakfast. People everywhere. Location is lovely, rooms clean but a bit on the smallish side and the grounds of the hotel are lovely and well maintained. Breakfast is hectic and we found ourselves going later so that there were less people and a more serene atmosphere. How the staff coordinate breakfast on a daily basis is beyond me with all the guests they need to cater for. Food and presentation ok - a bit of a drop down in quality and presentation from the last hotel we had stayed at. Pool area was busy. We had a number of cocktails at happy hour - a little underwhelming in my opinion. We had a relaxing time at this hotel, despite a few flaws and appreciated the peace and quiet.

We have just returned from a weeks stay at Prama and we loved our stay. This is our first trip back to Bali in 10 years so we were not sure what to expect. The staff were welcoming when checking in, in fact all the staff we interacted with were so friendly. Breakfast was lovely, plenty to choose from and again staff were always happy to see you. We booked 3 club rooms as nothing else available when we booked. Rooms were clean and tidy but the only negative I have is they do feel like they need a bit of updating. We did pay nearly double the price compared to a superior room and the only difference I could see was the size. Location was great, right next to the beach and then it was pavement all along the beach side where there were numerous places to eat and little shops. Myself and my daughter hired bikes from the hotel and rode all along the stretch along side the beach. Most nights ,after eating out ,we ended up back at Bamboo bar at the hotel which overlooks the beach. All the staff were lovely especially Luci who was so attentive. We mentioned it was our anniversary while we were there( we never put it on our booking)& on the actual day we had flowers delivered and the bed was decorated to say Happy anniversary along with a cake to share. We later found out Luci had arranged it.

The pool area was a good size with a seperate area for kids with slides into the pool. Swim up bar was used every day 😊

The hotel always had people cleaning, even someone to take up the frangipanis that had dropped onto the grass. Couldn’t fault the cleanliness.

Outside the hotel there were lots of roadworks going on all along the strip. I believe they were redoing pavements before rainy season. But if a pain but can’t be helped.

Overall very happy with our stay, we have booked again for next year.

This accommodation was excellent for our needs. The staff were excellent at all levels of service. The room was comfortable, clean and well serviced. The resort is perfectly situated near dining outlets and the beach.
