great location, on the beach, nice rooms, hotel staff are lovely
Great location and fabulous experience as one would expect of a Mercure hotel
We booked four rooms for four people . We were all fortunate to experience a room upgrade , thank you .
Check in was efficient , we only had to wait for one room to be prepared .
Rooms clean , all with a deck or outdoor area . Bathrooms well equipped with toiletries in addition to the best bidets we had for three different hotels where all toilets have a water pressured squirt rod under the seat , not a hose .
The resort itself is dated , however has a charm to it and very happy staff .
The two large pools are lovely , water the perfect temperature where you can sit on it fit ages .
The beach is literally 5m away from the boundary and has exclusive Mercure deck chairs etc .
Breakfast was adequate , I would like to see more variety from a Accor hotel as it was a little sparse, and unfortunately the coffee comes from coffee machines that if they were working made terrible coffee . However the World Cup is on a projector in the restaurant and is a great way to watch soccer over breakfast . The evening and lunch meals are nice , if an Accor member remember to use your discount .
Icon shopping mall is approximately 45 minute walk along the beach path , but there are also many money changers and mini marts near by also .
I would definitely return to Mercure , the pools do it for me :)

Another amazing stay at the Mercure Sanur
We had a wonderful stay at the Mercure Sanur, this being the 4th time we’ve stayed here as we like it so much. The staff are all so friendly and accommodating. Yogi at reception went above and beyond to help us get the room we wanted and Moreno in the restaurant is amazing and well liked by everyone. Cannot fault any of the staff. The rooms are a good size and very comfortable. We love the location of the hotel as there are lots of places to eat, drink and get spa treatments. The beach is nice with plenty of chairs. We look forward to returning soon
Stay longer next time
We stayed one night in transit to Nusa Lembongan and could easily have stayed longer. Resort is traditional Balinese and heard the gamelan on arrival. Restaurant was nice lovely evening breeze, Pool areas both nice. Convenient for shops and massage places. Access directly on to beach with hotels own loungers no haggling required, Great yoga place right outside on beach side near the cow with amazing views.

Beware before booking this hotel.
My Booking.com reservation No. 6440435438 for Mercure Resort Sanur (check-in 3 September 2026, check-out 7 September 2026) was cancelled by the property, not by me.
I never requested to cancel my reservation. The hotel cancelled it themselves, which is clearly shown in my Booking.com account as "Cancelled by the property."
Despite the fact that the hotel cancelled the reservation and therefore did not provide the accommodation service that I had already paid for, I have still not received a full refund. Booking.com even confirmed to me in writing that I would receive a full refund, yet most of my money is still being withheld.
According to the booking conditions, the non-refundable policy applies when the guest cancels the reservation. That is not what happened here. The property cancelled my booking and did not provide the paid service. In such circumstances, keeping the customer's money is unacceptable.
In my opinion, this practice is unfair and raises serious concerns. When a property cancels a fully paid reservation but the customer is still unable to recover the money, it creates the appearance of a fraudulent scheme.
I strongly recommend that future guests think carefully before making a prepaid reservation with this property.
