Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
We stayed here as a family of 5 in August 2026. The hotel had a great vibe. Quiet, scenic, very friendly attentive staff, good food, 1 tabby cat that occasionally comes to the dining area. We stayed in 2 connecting rooms. The bathrooms were spacious and luxurious. The bed was large and roomy to sleep in. There is a cute cart with free biscuits and popcorn in the lobby in the afternoon. Biscuits were very tasty. The pool is cute and a nice design. It is a bit cold. The views from the pool area are stunning. We enjoyed food around the pool. I had pulled pork pokey several times. We can also recommend the milkshakes and fruit shakes. The location of this hotel is near Ubud, there’s a free minibus to and from Ubud several times a day. Worth going on. If you can afford to, stay at this hotel, you won’t be disappointed. I thought it was super and would stay here again.
10 days in paradise..
From the moment we was greeted at reception after our 24 hour journey to get to Bali we felt truly looked after, the staff were so helpful, polite and caring through out our whole stay and through out the whole resort, nothing is too much trouble
The 3 of us (2 adults and a teenager) stayed in a premium twin room which was perfect!
We mixed up our days in the sun between the peaceful premium pool and the lovely beach, the hotel and gardens are beautiful and you get that paradise feeling, we truly loved it.
We did head out to waterbom which was fun.
We had breakfast included which is a wonderful buffet in the Prego restaurant, where we sat outside on the terrace most mornings, wonderful way to start the day.
The gym facilities (if you can be bothered) are very good, we made use of the gym and spin studios
Most evenings we wandered down the ‘Bali collection’ for dinner (and few massages too!) However we did eat in The Ikan Restaurant at the resort which is right on the beach with stunning views and the food was amazing, and good value for a resort restaurant.
Truly an incredible holiday, in a beautiful country and a fantastic resort, loved it.
Stunning
First of all I must say on this trip we had stayed at an exceptionally good resort before this stay so I did have very high expectations. I’ll start with the positive!
The negative:
All and all you could do sooooooooo much better with any of the other resorts in Nusa Dua! This felt like a sad tired and very commercial resort. I do not recommend.
As a loyal Bonvoy member, would normally give a 5 star rating for most of the Marriot Bonvoy hotels, however this time, we didn't get the same 5 star treatment.
First ever Marriot Bonvoy hotel which didn't perform housekeeping, came back to the room at 5:20pm and both rooms still uncleaned. Called to complain, but person mentioned 5pm to 6pm is their break time and will look into it after their break.
Upgraded us to connecting rooms, except the connecting door was locked. Took them 3 persons and 1 hour later for it to be opened.
Boiled water from kettle wasn't clean. Picture attached.
Requested additional sauce after in-room dining was delivered through call. 30 minutes later and still no news, called them to cancel it since food has already gone cold. 10 mins after cancellation they called to apologise.
Other than these 4 items above - breakfast spread was good. Service staff were friendly, beautiful beaches, their ikan restaurant is perfectly located in front of the beach. Hope Westin takes note of the above, as I never had 4 problems in a single stay in the other Westin Hotels worldwide. I might now understand why the hotel slogan - Let's Rise?
Westin please do better!
Had a wonderful dining experience at Ikan, The Westin Resort Nusa Dua, Bali. The food was beautifully presented, flavorful, and each dish felt thoughtfully prepared.
A special mention to Marlon, who made our evening even more enjoyable with his excellent cocktail recommendations and attentive service. The cocktails were perfectly balanced and paired wonderfully with the dishes.
Also, thank you to Chef Raviel for serving such delicious dishes and for putting so much care into every plate. You can really appreciate the passion and attention to detail in the food.
Overall, a lovely experience with great food, creative cocktails, and warm hospitality. Definitely a place I would be happy to visit again!
