As a travel agent, I would confidently recommend Paradisus by Meliá Bali and rate it 4.5 out of 5 stars.

As a travel agent, I would confidently recommend Paradisus by Meliá Bali and rate it 4.5 out of 5 stars.

The resort underwent a complete renovation before reopening in February 2026, and the refreshed look is evident throughout the property. Located approximately 20 minutes from Bali’s airport in the exclusive Nusa Dua tourism precinct, the resort sits within a secure, beautifully maintained enclave of luxury beachfront resorts. The location is ideal for travellers wanting a relaxing, safe holiday away from the busier areas of Bali while still enjoying excellent facilities.

Arrival & Lobby ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The first impression is excellent. The lobby is spacious, open-air, modern and welcoming, creating a relaxed tropical atmosphere from the moment you arrive. It immediately gives you the feeling that you’re staying somewhere premium, with plenty of comfortable seating and beautiful architectural features that make a fantastic first impression.

Check-in Experience ⭐⭐⭐☆☆ The actual check-in process was fairly standard. Guests are welcomed with a refreshing drink, but there isn’t any personalised or premium arrival experience beyond that. One aspect I didn’t particularly like was the all-inclusive wristband. While I understand why resorts use them, I personally find them quite tacky. Paradisus uses a woven fabric wristband with a large wooden piece attached. Although it looks nicer than plastic alternatives, the wooden section is bulky and uncomfortable. Once it gets wet it tends to stay damp for quite some time, and because it’s locked onto your wrist for your entire stay, it quickly becomes annoying. I would love to see the resort develop a more discreet way of identifying all-inclusive guests.

Premium Garden Room ⭐⭐⭐☆☆ (3/5) The Premium Garden Room is the entry-level accommodation. The room itself is a good size and features what appears to be a king bed made from two king single mattresses with a quality mattress topper, making it very comfortable to sleep on. The décor, however, is fairly plain. It’s a standard timber-style hotel room without many luxurious design touches or standout features. While perfectly comfortable, it doesn’t have the “wow factor” many travellers expect from a newly renovated five-star Bali resort.

Standard room amenities include: Coffee machine Kettle Tea and coffee Complimentary soft drinks in the minibar Kettle Chips Oreos For all-inclusive guests, these minibar items are replenished and included in the package.

Bathroom ⭐⭐⭐☆☆ (3/5) The bathroom was one of the weaker points of the room. By Bali luxury resort standards, it’s surprisingly small and lacks natural light. The layout consists of: Single vanity located outside the bathroom Combined toilet and shower room Rain shower with handheld shower One frustrating design flaw is the shower operation. Unless you press the selector button first, the handheld shower sprays directly at you when the water is turned on. It’s a small issue, but one you’ll notice every single day. Drainage was also below average, with water tending to pool on the shower floor.

Bathroom Amenities ⭐☆☆☆☆ (1/5) This was easily my biggest disappointment in the room. For a newly renovated luxury resort, the bathroom amenities felt very basic and inexpensive.

Provided were: Toothbrush Small single-use toothpaste Shower cap Basic vanity kit Noticeably missing were:

Comb Cotton buds Razor Shaving kit Luxury toiletries The shampoo and conditioner are supplied in basic refill bottles fixed to the shower wall, which further detracts from the luxury feel.

This is one area where Paradisus could significantly improve the guest experience.

Room Service ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5)

The room service menu offered an excellent selection of meals and drinks. For all-inclusive guests, room service is included, adding fantastic value and making it easy to enjoy meals from the comfort of your room.

Restaurants ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5) One of the highlights of Paradisus Bali is the impressive dining selection. Restaurants include: Malva Restaurant (international buffet) Peseta (Spanish cuisine) Kanna Beach Restaurant Samira Middle Eastern Restaurant Tokimeku Japanese Restaurant ARUM Asian Restaurant The Reserve exclusive dining venues (for eligible guests) The variety means guests can enjoy something different each day without becoming repetitive, making the all-inclusive package excellent value.

Bars & Cocktails ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5) The resort has excellent bars, particularly around the lobby and pool areas. The cocktail selection was impressive, and although some premium spirits aren’t included in the all-inclusive package, I never felt restricted by what was available. There was still an excellent range of quality drinks included.

Pool Service ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5) Pool service deserves special recognition.

A huge thank you to FEBRI, who consistently remembered our names, checked in on us throughout the day, and genuinely made us feel welcome. Staff like him elevate a great resort into an exceptional one.

Febri is a real asset to Paradisus Bali.

Swimming Pools ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ (4/5) The pools are beautiful and well maintained, although I do have a couple of observations. The kids’ splash zone and water park is outstanding and easily deserves 5 stars. Families travelling with young children will absolutely love this area. The main pool is attractive and spacious but could benefit from being deeper. It also tends to become quite busy with children during the day. The adults-only style pool within The Reserve section is fantastic, with a much deeper swimming area. Unfortunately, access is restricted to Reserve guests, so standard guests cannot use it.

Beach ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ (4.5/5) The beach exceeded my expectations. It’s clean, well maintained, and remains enjoyable even during low tide. While Nusa Dua isn’t known for huge surf or dramatic beaches, it’s perfect for a relaxing swim or cooling off throughout the day.

Staff ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5) The staff are one of the resort’s greatest strengths. Every team member we encountered was friendly, welcoming, and genuinely eager to help. Service was consistently warm and professional throughout our stay, helping create a relaxed and enjoyable holiday experience.

OVERALL Paradisus by Meliá Bali delivers an excellent all-inclusive experience that is especially well suited to families, couples, and travellers wanting a relaxing luxury holiday in Nusa Dua. While there are a few areas that could be improved—particularly the bathroom amenities, room styling, and all-inclusive wristbands—the outstanding staff, fantastic dining options, quality drinks, and beautiful grounds more than make up for these shortcomings.

Current Overall Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ (4.5/5)

Exceptional Staff, Amazing Memories – Thank You, Paradisus Bali

Paradisus by Melia never disappoints! But this one has a special charm. As usual, it is packed with activities, but the staff is totally on another level!! It was the middle of part of our stay in Bali, and we had the best time! The family didn’t want to leave the resort. Our kids enjoyed the stay at the kids’ club, Maria, Acik, and Edmur being the best ones!! Very friendly and kind, my kids loved the time with them.

In the pool and beach area, Angga made us feel like kings! His nice chat and service were amazing.

At the restaurants, all the service was amazing, but I would like to recognize as well Deva and Angus… very nice recommendations and attention.

As well, the staff made some room decorations for my wife due to her birthday… the resort was worth each penny!
