Absolutely love this hotel..Stay in it all the time when we are in Bali. The staff, through to cleaning of room to the fantastic breakfast. Was absolutely spoilt with an upgrade to room 5051 which was huge and included a spa. What more can I say but you won’t be disappointed with this hotel. Loved it
From the moment we arrived at 2.30am we were greeted with a lovely smile. we were upgraded to a room with it own pool and let me tell you it was magnificent. it was my husbands 60th birthday and the hotel went all out. the restaurant is amazing and the breakfast is awesome. i cant say enough about the Magani we will deffinetley be going back. thankyou so much for an amazing experience.
We had a great stay at the Magani Hotel, in the heart of legian, Room was a good size king bed pool view, breakfast was very good, Staff were excellent. Free shows most nights of the week, 2 for 1 cocktails, money changer on site with great rates. concierge and tour booking facilities, overall a great place to stay
Really liked a lot about this hotel. The location is great, the staff are lovely in every area, rooms spacious and clean. The breaky buffet was varied and delicious and I loved being able to order a proper coffee in the morning. My only reservation was the pool. One day there weren’t enough lounges and I had to wait and although I was aware one side is shade and the other is sun I found it inconvenient. My hubby doesn’t like much sun and I love it so it didn’t work us lying together as you can with umbrellas. The pool was also in full shade by early afternoon so I tried to get there by midday. Drag night was fun too at Mozzarella and food tasty. We also enjoyed the pizza by the pool
Due to my room type being unavailable I was upgraded to a premier room with private plunge pool. This room type is located on the ground floor, adjacent to the swimming pool. As far as noise levels are concerned, the poolside rooms were ok in June, but during school holidays noise might be an issue. The private plunge pool is located in a rear courtyard accessed from both the bedroom and bathroom. There was a sizable gap in the glass door leading from the bathroom, wide enough for insects to be able to access the premises easily. The courtyard furniture consisted of a day bed, clothes rack , table and two chairs. The area was in shade the majority of the day.
The rooms at the Magani are beginning to look dated. Chips have started to appear on the furniture, and some paintwork needs refreshing. The cupboard doors for both the fridge and wardrobe in my room no longer fit correctly. The room had a king size bed, day beds, wardrobe with adequate hanging space, but poorly designed shelf space and a good sized luggage rack. The hand basis is located in its own area and beyond that is the combined toilet and partially screened shower. The hand basin was slow to drain and required several ‘flushes’ with water to remove soap residue.
The shower had a plentiful supply of hot water, but the design of this area is flawed, in that the partial shower screen does not prevent water from the shower flooding the entire shower/toilet floor. This design fault should be addressed when the next room update takes place. In the meantime, pity the poor housekeeping staff.
The quality of the bedlinen, towels, soap etc was excellent. Special mention for the comfort of the bed and the exceptional pillows.
Breakfast continues to be a problematic feature of a stay at the Magani. The “hot” food is always, at best, lukewarm and the variety of items for a Continental breakfast is very limited. I wish management would install a couple of microwave ovens so that guests could better enjoy the hot food on offer. The breakfast staff were sometimes too eager to clear tables. On two occasions I returned to my table to find that everything had been cleared, including an untouched cup of coffee.
The highlight of the Magani is the exceptional service provided by the staff. The Reception staff and particularly the housekeeping staff provided outstanding service throughout my stay. My room was maintained immaculately.
Previously I’ve stayed in a Deluxe Pool View Room and would not hesitate to do so again. I doubt that I would want to pay the extra cost involved in a private pool room.
