The Kana is just 5 minutes from Bali Galeria Shopping Centre, and a 15 and 20-minute drive from Kuta Beach and Ngurah Rai International Airport, respectively.
We present 92 air-conditioned guestrooms that reflect the island's natural riches and designed to cater for domestic and international business and leisure travellers as well as individuals, couples, families, and groups. All guestrooms come with a flat-screen TV, dining area, private bathroom with free toiletries, and other cool amenities and freebies.
The hotel provides an international standard of hospitality, contemporary architecture, comfortable accommodation, and quality facilities at affordable prices. These include 2 restaurants, a swimming pool, gym, kids' corner, open-air terraces, and communal lounges. More over, we have 3 meeting rooms with a pool terrace that can accommodate weddings and other parties.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Kinda cute place, in a not so cute neighborhood. First night here on our honeymoon, my husband’s gold necklace was snatched violently off his neck by 2 people on a motorcycle just 500 meters from the hotel. Not the hotels fault (although they were completely unhelpful thereafter) but a week here we realized that Kuta is the ghetto of Bali. As for the hotel, it’s pretty boring, no entertainment. The pool looks nice but the beach chairs are dirty and crawling with insects, there are ants everywhere, tables and loungers. The pool towels, if unused are left outside by staff for days until they smell like mold. Actually, even the room towels and sheets appear clean but don’t feel or smell fresh. We’d lose power in our rooms for a few seconds, several times a day. Only the rooms are air conditioned, so i hope you enjoy the fruit at the buffet with plenty of fruit flies…i could go on, but the msg is, you get what you pay for.
Decent hotel in downtown Kuta of Bali. Although rooms are a bit small for a 3-people family, they are neat and clean. Service is very good. Food in the restaurant is very good.
Staying at this hotel for 3 nights made my experience very memorable, my tiring trip from Izmir Turkey to Bali Indonesia made the Kana Hotel Kuta the best rest, the staff team pampered me with extraordinary service. This is a very hard review to write as I didn’t want to leave a negative review as I do not do that but feel I need to to prevent future people going through the same experience and so the hotel management see, also to reflect that the reviews for the hotel on trip advisor are old and make it look better rated than it is.
Please note I am well travelled and experienced, I have around 612 contributions on trip advisor (will screenshot) and I would say 95% plus are great reviews as I don’t complain or do negative reviews.
We had booked 5 nights here via our travel company, upon arrival we were alarmed by the location of the hotel off a crazy roundabout in a rundown and messy area, the front of the hotel was all white sheets (see pictures) and then a drive down a small road to the reception.
The reception staff were friendly and welcoming, we arrived earlier than check in and were offered to pay for early check in which we paid as we were in need of a shower after a long day travelling.
The reception areas and pool areas were very run down, with furniture needing repairs. The bedroom and en-suite were shocking! Marks all over the walls, damaged furniture, smell of mould and dark marks in most corners, marks on mirrors and furniture, tv broken with hazy picture, air con was dirty any not cold, en-suite was awful and black mould, shower deadly slippy and damaged tile.
My husband and I talked it over about whether to stay here and decide to have a shower and something to eat and relook after we hopefully felt better, we went down for some food to their restaurant, it was not great at all but the staff very lovely. It was our special wedding anniversary and we decided we could not stay there for the five nights as the walk done the small road and being so far out of the main tourist area of Kuta felt very unsafe in this hotel.
We went to reception and explained. The staff again were lovely and offered to refund four of the five nights to our travel company. I am very sorry for the hotel staff.
If there's more than 5 Star ratings, I will rate this hotel 10. We stayed a week and we had our best time and best rest! The location may be 20 mins walk to the center (and close to the airport) but the staff are remarkable! Shout out to the following staffs: Gusde, Intan, Sri, Dita, Ika, Anngi, Putra, Arya, Andra, Sandhi. You made our stay very memorable. Their professionalism, attention to detail & their genuine commitment is beyond our expectation! Thank you for the Birthday cake for our friend who celebrated her birthday in Bali. We were definitely surprised when your staff knocked in our room & present the cake & sung a Happy Birthday! We were touched & very thoughtful. Overall, we are very happy with our stay. The selection of breakfast and even dinner are very satisfactory.
