The Anvaya Beach Resorts Bali

Our stay at The Anvaya was by far the worst hotel experience of our entire Bali trip. Ironically, it was also the most expensive hotel we stayed at, making it even more disappointing. It was definitely not worth the price.

The hotel feels old and poorly maintained. Even though it was built only about 10 years ago, everything already feels worn out. Many surfaces, including our room, felt sticky and unclean, giving the whole place a dirty and uncomfortable atmosphere.

To make matters worse, there were strange noises coming from the ceiling in our room throughout the night. The sounds made it difficult to fall asleep and took away any chance of having a relaxing stay.

The breakfast buffet was another major disappointment. While the selection was huge, the hygiene standards were lacking. There were flies everywhere, many tables were not cleaned promptly, and it was often difficult to find clean plates. The omelette I was served was undercooked and sloppy. I felt sick afterward, although I can’t say for certain that the omelette was the cause.

Overall, this hotel did not come close to the standard you would expect for the price. We had much better experiences at other hotels in Bali that cost significantly less. Unfortunately, we would not recommend staying here.

We've just come back from an amazing stay at Anvaya. We absolutely loved the hotel - the location, in a quieter part of Kuta, is great - not too busy but only a short walk from the restaurants, bars, and shops. It enjoys the most beautiful sunset views so we ended up going to their beach bar every night before dinner. Breakfast is fantastic, with lots of choice and lovely service. We had swim ups lagoon rooms which I would really recommend although their main pools are very nice and never crowded so we shared our time between the two. The rooms are big and beds super comfortable. Complimentary minibar is a nice touch. The grounds are beautiful, very clean and well maintained. We were really looked after from the moment we arrived until the moment we left. The staff really can't do enough for you and are very responsive. If anything was amiss, they fixed it instantly. Special mentions to the amazing hotel management - Miss Ayin and Miss Shanti, as well as Wintu from Sands bar for his world-class service. The only thing wrong with the hotel is its distance from London - otherwise, we would keep going back all the time!
