- Sulis Beach Hotel and Spa

"Located within 50 meters from the quiet south end of Kuta Beach, Sulis Beach Hotel and Spa is ideal for those seeking a relaxed and casual atmosphere. After a long day sunbathing on beautiful beach or surfing the waves at the famous Kuta Reefs, why not enjoy a romantic stroll along the beach or simply relax at our spa or chill-out at our rooftop pool with close friends or family.
A deluxe room comes with either a super king bed (200 cm wide, 200 cm long) or 2 single beds (each measuring 100 cm wide, 200 cm long) with high ceilings and all western amenities to your needs including a private balcony with comfortable seating area. A modern tropical feel with clean & bright ambience is the highlight for this room type with a total size of over 40 square meters. The rooms face either the quiet street of Jalan Wana Segara or the garden of next door resort.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Very close to the airport so great for getting your flight, you can't hear the aircraft in your rooms. The hotel is in a good area for mini marts, shopping and restaurants, also close to the beach. Very helpful friendly staff. The rooms are spotless and very spacious with a good bathroom. Large comfy bed. The pool area is very nice and a good sized pool. The rooftop restaurant is a bit basic but with a good view and great to get a snack for lunch or when you are in the pool. Breakfast is ok but nothing special. Check in is a 3pm, but sometimes you can get 1pm if rooms are available. We had a massage that was cheap but very good and professional .
It's a wonderful hotel and extremely spacious and large rooms. They have pork so you could AVOID breakfast in case you are looking for HALAL food or could order from their Fruits and cold kitchen. Cleanliness is top class .. Location is away from the busy streets and near the Kuta South Beach. which is a quiet place. The main market area is a little far , however , you have quick and easy Gojek and Grab vehicles available. For families this is a great place , however , at the same price you get hotels like Aston Kuta, etc hence you could make your choice. overall better and bigger rooms compared to many hotels in Kuta.
Our 3rd holiday stay at Sulus Hotel Spotlessly clean, great location, great friendly service, food is beautiful and good value, great views. Lots of options nearby for shopping, massage, food & supplies. Quiet 50 metres to the beach. Love all the staff. Hope to be back next year.
Very low key hotel. Spitting distance to the beach and B-road walk that goes right along the beach to Kuta. The rooms are specious, clean and with good AC. The pool is clean and a good swim with a good cool breeze. The only downside is the breakfast which if you are a westerner it’s not really worth having. There’s plenty of food outlets in the area.
Dear Hotel Management, I am writing to formally express my deep dissatisfaction with your hotel’s management and lack of basic humanitarian support during our stay. While I would rate your facilities as 5-star, I must rate your management as zero due to arrogant, uncaring, and purely money-minded behavior—especially in a medical situation involving a guest, specially middle of night. During our stay, my mother became seriously ill with diarrhea at 1 AM, most likely due to contaminated water in Bali. Although we only consumed what was sold as mineral water, it appears that normal filtered water is being sold under that label by local sellers. Despite this situation: Your hotel had no basic medicines (for diarrhea, fever, etc.) available at reception, nor even a basic medical kit. Your only response was that you could “call an ambulance,” but you refused to help with any immediate minor medical needs. As a result, I had to walk outside in heavy rain, through dirty flood water reaching up to my knees, just to find a pharmacy so my mother could receive basic medication. Additionally, the lack of empathy from your restaurant and staff was shocking: I requested a very simple humanitarian meal—plain rice boiled with extra water (porridge) so my sick mother could eat something light. On the 4th morning, Despite having paid for breakfast, your restaurant refused this request made on breakfast time. I was charged IDR 11,000 for plain rice, which my mother could not eat. I then had to go out again to the street to find porridge elsewhere.one of your receptionist was kind and helpful. She assisted with booking porridge, for which we paid IDR 60,000, and I appreciate her professionalism. However, on the 5th morning, another receptionist completely ignored my request, giving a simple excuse that she “did not know how” to book it online. This forced me to walk far again, asking multiple restaurants until I finally found porridge for my mother. This entire experience was inhumane, irresponsible, and unacceptable for any hotel—especially one claiming professional standards. I ask you honestly: How would you rate yourselves if this happened to your own family? Please reflect seriously on this feedback, because what we experienced was complete nonsense and a failure of basic human care. Sincerely, A Concerned Guest ( room no 1111 ) 2nd Jan26 to 5th Jan2026
