- Bali Garden Beach Resort

This hotel is located within walking distance of the largest shopping centre and the nightlife of Kuta and Tuban. It is just a 5-minute drive from Bali's International Airport. The property features a spacious terrace facing the sea and/or the garden. The property has a swimming pool and children's pool. Sun loungers are laid out for use by the water's edge. A breakfast buffet is served while lunch can be selected from menu options and dinner is available to be taken à la carte. The property offers venues to host meetings, conferences and other private events. Each room is nicely decorated with a combination of light and warm colours that create a cosy atmosphere and make travellers feel welcomed.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
We havent stayed down in Tuban for many years so thought we would spend a couple of days down there for a change. Arrived at the hotel and had to wait over 30 mins to get into our room.I had asked for a ground floor room and they had put us on Level 4.The elevator went to level 3 and then you had to take the stairs. Didnt really want to do that the whole time we were there so we asked for another room(floor 3).The room was nice and overlooked the fish pond and the breakfast area. Miles from the pool and the beach. The beach at the moment looks like a bomb has hit it with the sand erosion being dealt with. They are building groins right outside the hotel so there are excavators and workers as your view to the beach. Very friendly squirrels that will eat out of your hands but watching them I realised they wee on the verandah railings and then rub themselves down it so we aware touching the railing and wash your hands after. The resort is opposite Water Bomb Park and next door to The Discovery Centre. I went to the Fire Dance there. Ate at the restaurant and the meal was ok but the staff were great. Breakfast was OK and plenty to choose from. Adults pool and a general pool but neither was full when we were there. The resort is really like labyrinth too and we spent a lot of time trying to work out how to get anywhere.Wouldnt stay here again but great access to Waterbom Park
After a third stay at Bali Garden, it’s still hard to pinpoint the exact “secret sauce” — but whatever it is, they’ve bottled it. For a 4‑star resort, it understands its audience (mostly Australians) better than most. The formula is simple:
• genuine hospitality • excellent value for money • personable service • a spa that feels premium without the premium price tag • food and beverage options that are varied and sensibly priced
The Deluxe Rooms overlooking the gardens are consistently the best pick. Ground floor or first floor — both have their perks, and choosing between them is like choosing a favourite child.
Breakfast won’t change your worldview, but the egg station deserves its own award category. The staff have memory skills that would put a NASA engineer to shame. You can be eighth in line, mumble your order once, and somehow it arrives exactly right. The eggs and bacon are reliably excellent.
The main pool area is large, lively, and anchored by a proper swim‑up bar with drinks priced better than many Bali resorts. If you need a break from your nearest and dearest, the adults‑only pool is a perfectly acceptable escape hatch.
Dining across the resort is solid, with Warung Damar being the standout. You get genuinely good Indonesian dishes without paying like royalty — a refreshing change from the “resort tax” you find elsewhere.
Location is one of Bali Garden’s biggest strengths. If you’re tackling Waterbom with kids, being able to walk 50 metres back to your room after 40,000 steps and a slow emotional collapse is nothing short of glorious. Shopping is also right on the doorstep — Kuta to the north, Legian a stroll away, and Discovery Plaza next door for anyone needing a retail fix.
For future Bali trips, it’s hard to look past Bali Garden. It consistently delivers exactly what it promises — no more, no less — and sometimes that reliability is the best feature of all.
Just popped in for a drink & dinners, always good service and good here…staff are always friendly
Erna, Aulia & Desy were so helpful and we had great service and beautiful meals at The Boardwalk restaurant.
Nasi Goreng is the best in Kuta and the strawberry daiquiri is so good !!
