Holiday Inn Resort Bali Canggu

This hotel was everything I needed for a solo break. The rooms were immaculate, the staff were incredibly friendly, the breakfast had a huge variety and lots of options to order. The pool was beautiful and I never found it to be too busy, although this might change in peak seasons. Thank you especially to all the staff for making my stay so comfortable and in particular to Dandy, who serviced my room to perfection every day!

No doubt about the cleanliness of the hotel and the location is in the best place very convenient to lots of resto and cafes, also very near to the beach. I enjoyed the best sunset from my room’s balcony everyday. The services are very best, so satisfied with the entire services and they are super friendly and helpful. I will definitely to put hotel in the list of my next visit to Bali. See you again Holiday Inn Canggu

I typically don’t write reviews, but tonight is my last of eight (8) nights at this wonderful hotel resort and felt like I should write how wonderful of a stay this has been. From the moment I stepped onto the property everyone has been so hospitable and kind. Management makes you feel welcome even before you arrive; the communication is absolutely superb. The overall hospitality at the entire hotel facility is first rate; it’s so well run and reflects positively on management and staff. My balcony room overlooked the beach area where I could catch the sunsets every evening from the comfort of my room. The location was perfect for my needs as it’s just a 4-5 minute walk to the beach. There you can rent a lounge chair and umbrella for 50,000 ($2.75usd) from a local and have someone bring you cold drinks and watch your gear while you are floundering in the ocean or taking off for lunch. I went to the same place (Warung Ava) everyday and my guy could recognize me coming from 100M away; again, more beautiful Balinese hospitality. Btw, he has a shower area behind his place to rinse off the salt water. Back to the hotel, it is surrounded by restaurants and shops, which is good because you really don’t want to have to travel around Canggu with the traffic. Once you arrive just about everything you could possibly want or need is within a couple minute walk of the hotel. This was the fourth hotel of my trip in Bali and by far the best stay. The rooms are modern and have great air conditioning (comes up from the floor versus blowing down on you) and the teak wood floors and sliding doors are beautiful. I think the restaurant provides good value, especially for a hotel chain and the food is quite good. My only nit is the restaurant is really big and open which gives off a bit of a cafeteria vibe, though the service was impeccable and again, the food was good. My housekeeper for the stay was a young gentleman named Gushen and he took such great care of my room and me and I enjoyed seeing and chatting with him almost daily. He supplied me with everything I needed and made sure I was very comfortable with plenty of towels and water during my entire stay. I will miss seeing him and I will miss seeing Tedy at the guard station every night. Some people just make you feel good with a big genuine smile and greeting and Tedy is one of those guys. I enjoyed seeing all the guys at the gate as they recognize you immediately with friendly welcomes and they are also very thorough with inspecting every vehicle that enters at the gate. They take their job seriously. Canggu is known to be a hub for young adults and it is true, but I’m 64 (solo traveler) and felt right at home here. I loved the energy and also enjoyed being surrounded by active healthy people on the beach. Watching surfers get pummeled by large waves also added to the enjoyment. I truly cannot wait to return to this place; it exceeded my expectations in every way!
