A little Slice of Paradise
Such a wonderful getaway! The food was delicious, the property was immaculate, the rooms were beautiful, and the staff was incredibly warm, attentive, and hospitable. We especially loved the yummy coffee bar and top-notch restaurants. The Preferred Club upgrade was definitely worth it! We spent two relaxing days at the spa and highly recommend the hydrotherapy circuit—it was an absolute highlight of our stay. We also met lovely couples from all over the United States, which made the experience even more special!

This resort is probably in my top five beach resorts. We went in September and it wasn’t very crowded, which was a plus when you’re in the pools and trying to get into restaurants. The room was larger than I thought it would be. The housekeeping made sure that the room stayed clean and the mini bar, coffee and snacks were always refilled. There are three pools so whether you want to engage in activities or just relax, there is a place for you. We tried most of the restaurants for either breakfast, lunch or dinner and they were all delicious. The staff in each restaurant were very attentive. There was always some sort of activity going on if that’s what you like. The spa was amazing. My massage therapist did exactly as I asked him and hydrotherapy before my massage was very relaxing. The beach is very clean and there is plenty of seating.All of the staff throughout the resort were very accommodating and friendly. There is some wildlife throughout the resort, but they are very docile and don’t bother you.

This place continues to be special! Special shout-out to so many, including Santiago, who was extra special with his kindnesses and thoughtfulness, our several concierges, especially Monica, for outstanding service, the senior leadership team of the resort that continue, day after day, to work together as a team to make magic memories happen for guests, all the chefs and their support teams, especially Maria, Antonio and Gustavo, our friends George, Alberto sommelier, Agustin the "French Chef" extraordinaire, Fernanda at the Club, Tony, Cruz, Metz, Augustine, Alexandro, Marisol, Victor Medellin our friend, Sharon, Sol, and Roselyn on the beach cleaning crew! 🌴☀️ We just returned from 2 glorious weeks at Secrets Akumal... WOW! 🤩✨
What an absolutely amazing experience! 💖 From start to finish, the service was top-notch ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ and the food was incredible 🍽️😋. 🌴🚗 Even though the resort is about an hour and a half from the airport ⏰, it is absolutely worth the extra drive! 💯✨ The moment we stepped out of the car, we were warmly greeted with "Welcome home!" 🏡❤️ From that very first moment, we knew we were somewhere special. 🌴☀️😊 The genuine warmth and hospitality made us feel relaxed, valued, and right at home from the start. 🤗🌺✨
🍽️✨ Restaurants ✨🍽️ The restaurants were absolutely outstanding! 😍👌 From the quality of the food 🍝🥩🐟 to the exceptional service ❤️, every dining experience was memorable. Each restaurant had its own unique atmosphere 🌴🍷 and delicious menu options, making it difficult to choose a favorite. 🤔😋 Every meal felt special, and the attention to detail was second to none. ⭐✨ Whether it was breakfast 🍳, lunch 🌮, or dinner 🍷🍽️, we always left happy, satisfied, and looking forward to our next meal! 😁💕🌴 ✨🍽️ We were so impressed with how spotlessly clean everything was! 😍 The silverware 🍴✨ and glassware 🥂✨ were absolutely sparkling. Every fork, knife, spoon, and glass looked polished to perfection. 🌟 It's the little details that make a big difference, and everything throughout the resort was immaculate. 🏨💎

We tried every restaurant except Oceana 🍤. We only had one meal that wasn't great. We mentioned it simply as feedback for future and oh my goodness 😲, the staff were so apologetic and couldn't do enough for us. Their commitment to guest satisfaction was truly impressive. ❤️👏
For breakfast, we ate at the buffet each morning 🍳🥐🥞. It was the biggest breakfast buffet we've ever seen! 😲 . What impressed us was it didn’t matter what time you got there, whether earlier or later there was still lots of food. They were constantly replenishing everything. There were so many options to choose from. For lunch, we ate once at Seaside Grill 🌊🍔, but most days we enjoyed either the buffet or dining by the pool 🍹😎.
🌴 Resort & Grounds The resort is fairly large 🗺️, so there is quite a bit of walking 🚶♀️🚶♂️. Most pathways are surrounded by beautiful jungle scenery 🌿🌺🦜, making every walk enjoyable. It took us a few days to learn our way around, but everyone was so friendly and helpful. 😊 If you got lost, staff would often escort you right to where you wanted to go! 👏 🌴✨ Even though the property is spread out, it was impeccably maintained! 👏🧹 No matter where we walked 🚶♀️🚶♂️, we never saw any garbage 🚯. The entire resort was absolutely spotless ✨🏨. From the pathways 🌿 to the pools 🏊♂️ and common areas 🌺, everything was kept exceptionally clean and beautiful. ❤️🌴😊
☀️ Pool Life It was VERY hot during our stay 🔥🥵. Even the staff mentioned temperatures were hotter than normal! We spent most of our time at the Quiet Pool 💙🏊♀️, which quickly became our happy place. 😊 The pool is huge, and we spent hours simply floating around and relaxing 🌊😌. We also met some lovely people along the way ❤️. The pool staff were outstanding 👏🍹. Nothing was ever too much trouble. While there is also the Main Pool and Infinity Pool 🏊♂️🎶, they could sometimes be a little too lively for our taste. We much preferred the quiet, peaceful, and tranquil atmosphere ☮️🌴.
As for the beach 🏖️, we only visited a few times as we were so happy by the pool!
🏨 Preferred Club & Room We chose the Preferred Club ⭐ and stayed in Building 3 on the fourth floor. Our room was very spacious 🛏️✨. The bathroom was fantastic:
🚽 Separate toilet area 🛁 Large Jacuzzi tub 🚰 Double sinks 🚿 Huge walk-in shower with bench 👕 Clothesline for drying swim suits
We had an ocean-view room 🌊, although the lush trees 🌴 blocked much of the view. For us, it wasn't a big deal since we don't spend much time in the room anyway. The balconies were very big and even included a jacuzzi tub 🛁☀️.
📱 Hotel App & Concierge Service The resort app was absolutely wonderful 📲👍. We used it for everything:

Anything we requested arrived quickly and efficiently. 👏 In addition, our concierge sent daily updates through WhatsApp 💬 every day, letting us know what activities were happening around the resort. If we needed anything at all, she was always happy to help. ❤️
