Hard Rock Hotel Riviera Maya

​We visited Hard Rock Hotel Riviera Maya in April 2026 for a family trip. We had such a great time that we decided to plan a return trip with friends in September. On our prior stay, we stayed on the family-friendly Hacienda side. This time, we stayed in the adults-only section—aptly named Heaven. If you are looking for a relaxing vacation as a couple or a fun getaway with a group of friends, a week in Heaven is just the right choice. ​The resort is large, but it is comfortably divided into distinct areas. There is the Roja (Red) Lobby and the Azul (Blue) Lobby for families, alongside the separate, adults-only Heaven area for a more peaceful experience. Each area features its own restaurants, pools, and activities. There is more than enough going on if you want to stay strictly on the adult side, but you also have full access to all the activities and dining on the family side. ​The grounds, pools, beach, and accommodations were first-class. The beach lagoon area is wonderful not only for swimming and kayaking, but also for snorkeling. Beyond the water, walking around the property offers sightings of colorful birds, coatis, capybaras, and monkeys. ​The evening shows were very entertaining. Across our two stays, we saw the Rock Show, the Queen Show, and Neon Humans. While we weren't able to catch the Michael Jackson show this time, we knew from our previous trip that the performance and choreography were first-rate. ​The dining was excellent. The Thai restaurant, Wai, was everyone’s absolute favorite—we ate there twice, and both the food and service were exceptional each time. Ciao, the Italian restaurant, was also a big hit with our group. Even with its Italian focus, the filet dinner there was as good as anything you would find at a top steakhouse. I would also highly recommend Le Petit Cochon, the French restaurant; everyone in our group who ordered the escargot said it was some of the best they had ever had. ​On our final night, we experienced the "Awaken the Senses" multi-sensory dinner. The meal is served in an interactive room featuring five small plates, each paired with its own craft cocktail. I won't spoil the details, but it is well worth booking. ​Finally, I want to acknowledge the outstanding team at Hard Rock who made our stay so memorable: ​Faro: All of the breakfast waitstaff were exceptional, with a special shout-out to Gabbie for top-tier service. ​Poolside: David was hands-down the best. He was incredibly attentive, went out of his way to look after us, and was always ready to show off his dance moves.

​Our Butlers: A very special acknowledgement to Diego and Luis. From the moment we arrived until the minute we left, they ensured every detail was taken care of. If you have Hall of Fame or Legendary Chairman status, I highly recommend requesting their service. They fulfilled every request, offered fantastic recommendations for dining and shows, and constantly went above and beyond to elevate our stay. ​All in all, I give Hard Rock Riviera Maya 5 stars and rank it right at the top of the Legendary experience!

From our arrival to departure everything was awesome! Shoutout to Luis & Diego who were outstanding !! Best teammates, really worked hard together to make our stay unforgettable 🙏 Our room was a little outdated but comfortable. Hotel had a very good vibe. Hotel was clean and staff was friendly. Everything connected very easily & we felt very safe. Golf cart transport was a plus! Our room view was great & made our mornings special ❤️. Restaurants service & food was great!! Price paid was a very good deal for what we experienced . Daily evening entertainment was a plus 👍 And the sunsets were amazing 😁.
