Beautiful pool and amazing servers
We had the most beautiful experience at barcelo ! My husband and I stayed at the riviera adults only resort and it was so amazing being right on the beach in the giant infinity pool. We love the other pools but if you’re looking for some quiet (not too quiet- still fun with entertainment and two bars at the pool), it’s nice to be at the adults only resort.
Throughout the week, we had Carlos and Darwin as our bartenders at the riviera pool. They were both so sweet and attentive the whole time! They truly work so hard and make amazing drinks. They made our trip that much more special. We would definitely recommend!!

Birthday weekend - sister's 50th and my 60th
Gorgeous hotel. Food was amazing and the staff was the best I've ever experienced. The only downfall is there are no shows at this resort. We had to either walk to the other resorts or take the bus. I prefer to stay at the hotel for everything. So, we didn't do most of the shows at the other resorts, due to having to leave our resort. Otherwise, it was a nice place to stay

Amazing Adults-Only Experience
An exceptional adults-only resort with breathtaking views, a relaxing atmosphere, and truly outstanding service. A special thank you to the Miramar team, especially servers, Damian Tamar, who went above and beyond to help me get my coveted mango, and Axel Morales for his exceptional attentiveness. Their genuine hospitality made an already amazing stay unforgettable. I can’t wait to return! Missing it already.
Not luxury at all
Barcelo Riviera Maya Adults only room service food is horrible. Ordered a chicken soup and it was just hot water and noodle with vegetables no flavor what so ever. Seriously a little salt and pepper goes a long way. I get some people have diet restrictions, but they can at least put condiments on the side. French fries were pale and soggy. Ordered a Hawaiian pizza and it was disgusting very pale no sauce and raw dough. The pool area waiters don’t like to work no one comes to get your order no sense of urgency. The only restaurant worth eating at is the Japanese and Mexican. The Italian restaurant isn’t Italian food at all. The rodizio restaurant stinks something wicked. Couldn’t sit down to eat as I couldn’t get past the smell. Some staff members have an attitude problem. This has been the worst vacation I have ever been to in Mexico.
