Barcelo paradise
This is the 3rd time in 12 years we have stayed at Barcelo Riviera Maya, the first at the Palace. We booked a junior beach front suite premium level. Steps to the pool steps to the beach. The room was very nice and clean. The bed was very comfortable and the linens are high quality. The room was constantly at 19 celsius which was cool but awesome for sleeping! The food was incredible at the restaurants and at the buffets. The grounds are impeccable the staff was incredible and very helpful. All the pools are crystal clear.It is amazing that an incredibly large facility maintains such incredible cleanliness
Family Vacation
Highly Recommend Barcelo Maya Palace. It is about an hour drive from Cancun Airport. I enjoy that you have access to five hotels. There are several Restaurants to choose from. I highly recommend Brasserie French cuisine. There are so many pools in each hotel. The entertainment is fun at Barcelo Maya Colonial. We went in September and only slight rain and thunder. The hotel was not crowded. The Beach had very little Sargassum (September 2026) and it was clear. Guests were able to swim with Turtles. Looking forward to return to Mexico.

Amazing staff!
This is our fourth time here. We found our favorite server at the hacienda buffet us Keyli Valesquez . She makes our trip memorable. She is so kind and efficient. We cant wait to see her here again next year! The staff at this resort is amazing! I can't see myself going anywhere else!

Great father and son vacation
Originally booked at the Tropical property, day before our trip received a call saying that due to low occupancy the Tropical was closed and we were being upgraded to the Palace.
Room was spacious and clean, with one of the best oceanfront views on the complex. Grounds were well kept, and staff did the best they could to clear the sargassum on the beach in the mornings on the days it was present. First couple days there was minimal sargassum but got a few heavy days for the last half of our week here, but we did get to snorkel with a very large sea turtle on our first day here!
Buffet food was decent although repetitive. À la carte restaurants were great, except for the Italian, food there was very disappointing but service was still good.
Staff were friendly and accommodating all around. And a big shout out to Dressel Divers’ crew onsite for making my son’s introduction to scuba diving such a memorable one. Highly recommend!!
