Amazing staff and awesome drinks by the pool
We had a great experience hanging out by the pool and eating and drinking! It was super relaxing and the staff was amazing!
Luis was our entrainment by the pool during the day. He was 10/10! Hilarious and fun and always kept us moving. It seemed like the day flew by whenever we got into one of his activities.
We made friends with the towel and chair guys. Their names were Daniel and Damian. They helped us secure our favorite spot by the pool each day and offered funny banter about our favorite NFL teams! They were amazing!
Finally our service for food and drinks was top notch. Since we were in the same seats each day we always had Urbano serving us. He never left us empty handed! He was quick and efficient and super friendly! He even gave some good drink recommendations.
We loved our stay here. The staff is amazing. The amenities are top notch.
Ruined Last Impression: Secrets Luxury Crowded Out by Renovation Chaos
I upgraded and paid a premium to be at Secrets Riviera Cancun expecting an upscale, exclusive, and peaceful adults-only vacation. Instead, my final days have been completely ruined by terrible management and an indifferent staff. The Energy Main Pool on the Breathless side is closed for a massive renovation. Because of this, the resort has completely abandoned their policy of keeping the Secrets property exclusive. The security door connecting the resorts is being left wide open, and Breathless guests are flooding into the Secrets-only pool and amenities.It is incredibly clear that Breathless guests are being compensated for their closed pool by being allowed into our space. Meanwhile, we the guests who actually paid premium prices to stay at Secrets—are receiving absolutely no compensation for our now overcrowded pool, missing loungers, and degraded experience.When I brought this up to the Preferred Club representative, they could not have cared less and completely dismissed my concerns. To make matters worse, the daybeds by the DJ pool (which are heavily crowded now) are being withheld for an extra fee, even though we have lost the use of major resort areas. Management is prioritizing fixing complaints for one side of the resort by completely ruining the vacation of the guests who paid the most to be here. I am incredibly disappointed by the service failure and the lack of empathy from the staff on my final day. I will not be returning to this property, nor can I recommend it to anyone looking for a true "Secrets" level experience. The front desk manager, Fernanda was insulting and did not appreciate the situation whatsoever and provided no reasonable solution. She is more worried about keeping the breathless guests happy whilst not compensating the secrets guests for having their privileges taken away Victor by the pool on the breathless side was also rude and unhelpful.

An all round Vacation experience
Everything about the resort is amazing, from the service to the food, to the energy. The secrets side gives you a serene space to relax. While the breathless side where the restaurants are is ideal for when you want a bit of excitement to spice up the trip.

Mayra starts your morning with her warm, welcoming smile at breakfast. Her friendliness and positive attitude are the perfect way to begin the day.
Daniel has a real talent for making your pool day exactly what you want it to be. He knows how to set you up with the perfect spot and makes sure everything is just right so you can sit back, relax, and enjoy the day.
Luis keeps the atmosphere fun and entertaining throughout the day. His energy and personality add another level of enjoyment to the pool experience.
And then there’s Julio — truly exceptional. His poolside service is nothing short of amazing. He is attentive, personable, and always one step ahead. No request is too little or too big, and he consistently goes above and beyond to make sure everything is perfect. With Julio, you never have to wonder if your needs will be taken care of — they simply are.
It’s people like Mayra, Daniel, Luis, and Julio who turn a great resort stay into a truly memorable experience. Their professionalism, warmth, and dedication to service are a huge part of what makes Secrets Riviera Cancun special.

Secrets Riveria is a lovely resort. The views are beautiful, wonderful pool, extremely clean, attentive staff, and delicious food for an all-inclusive. The entertainment is great- there is always something going on if you want to participate, but are also still able to relax quietly if you don’t. The beach/sand was clean, we were there during seaweed season so it wasn’t usable at the time- but we enjoyed the pool.
