Great show! Interacted well with kids. Best food we have had!!
Arturo was my cooker at the hibachi! I loved the food as much as his attitude. Great time and always a smile.
Amazing food prepared at Zen from Jonathan!!
My family of 5 just got home from a 6 day trip to the Royalton Splash and overall it was a great time. People need to know that it is going to be more of a pool trip than a beach trip, which was fine with me. The food was fine, but not remarkable.(Rio was the best)
What made this trip amazing in my opinion was the Diamond Club pool butlers and waiters. This team was amazing. I did not even use the personal butler that we were assigned because these guys and gals were the best. Juan, Jorge, Ricardo, Mercedes, Miguel (BACHOCO!!!! Hahahaha), and Beatriz were the stars of the week and I would stay and hang with them forever honestly. 10/10 for this team, I will miss them.
We booked the Royalton Splash Cancun because we were traveling with our children and wanted something truly family-friendly, but overall, it didn’t live up to that promise. Check-in was frustrating. We were sent to a separate office for a sales pitch instead of just being checked in because we booked through Expedia. Our first room had a strong humid smell and visible mold. We were moved the next day, but it was a hassle. The kids’ splash pad and water park looked nice, but our kids didn’t really use them. The kids’ club only allows drop-offs at set times, which wasn’t convenient at all. The buffet was consistently disappointing. Undercooked rice, pasta, even crepes, and very few protein options. Restaurant reservations were fully booked every day. Even simple pool food meant long lines. The beach had lots of seaweed, murky water, but I knew that beforehand. Transportation was another headache. No Ubers are allowed to come in and the resort is too far to walk to main road. Taxis were expensive. We paid 75 dollars just to get to a friend’s resort in the Hotel Zone. One bright spot was our pool waiter, Daniel, who was outstanding. Friendly, attentive, always on top of things. He deserves real credit. But overall, this trip did not meet our expectations, and we wouldn’t return. Overall rating:2 out of 5 stars.
