The service was outstanding and makes you want to come back here!. The staff is amazing. Erick, Vitalia , Eduardo, Jorge, Jassiel and all in general are the best. Thank you for making our stay super amazing.
Just finished a quick, 4 night stay at Margaritaville. Less than 2 years old, it was beautiful. The neighboring resort closed and is running down. Kind of an eyesore, but whatever. Smaller property but designed well in a U shape with plenty of pool time. Beach was washed away in a storm and is non-existent. Literally a wooden set of stairs that leads to the ocean with no beach.
Service was very high level in all phases. Possibly the best we’ve had in a couple dozen all-inclusives. Good quality was meh though compared to other places we’ve been. Breakfast was sold as they had the normal fare, plus an omelet station and a chilaquiles station as well. The Italian restaurant was very, very good, despite extremely small portions. The steakhouse was pretty rough. I’ve had some fantastic cuts of meat in Mexico. This was not the place for that. The pool bar’s food looked amazing, but was tasteless. Wings at Landshark were solid.
All in all a nice quick break from reality. Some really nice positives. A few drawbacks.
Pro: service! Appearance! Rooms overall.
Cons. Beach, food quality.
We have just returned from a week here. We had a lovely time. The hotel has a really relaxing feel to it. The staff are lovely, special mention to Esther, who looked after us so well at breakfast and lunch times, and Patti who made the best breakfast omelette's ever! The hotel itself was kept spottlessly clean and the entertainment crew were great. The beach was kept lovely and clean, which was also a very big plus point! We would visit again.
We’ve came here for two weeks to celebrate my daughter qualifying as a Veterinarian So impressed with all the staff, from entertainment, waiters, bar staff and hospitality. Would like to especially thank Jorge and Mariel from the entertainment team and head chef Oscar. We had a wonderful stay here and would definitely recommend it and will try and come back again.
This hotel is a favorite for so many reasons. The location is really close to the airport, about a 20-25 minute ride. If you're actually looking to vacation for relaxation purposes, this is your hotel. The vibes are beach chill all day every day. The rooms are always clean and the people who clean them take their jobs very seriously, if I even needed anything, they would get it right away. In terms of cost, I've stayed at many comparably priced hotels in the U.S. and in Mexico, and you get so much more bang for your buck here than any other place, because the food isn't just standard, it's really really good. The chefs at each of their restaurants take pride in their work. The Chefs at Beach House, the main restaurant, put on the absolutely most delicious Mexican fiesta once a week, and that food is very very authentic and tasty. The entertainment is so nice, again, chill. They had a tiki party/fire show when I was there, they also had a folkrorico performance at the Mexican fiesta, and as someone who's been in the cancun area more than a dozen times, those young people gave a fantastic show that took you to all of the regions of Mexico, it was like a mini Xcaret show! However, what really makes this place stand out and why I would go back again and again is the people. The wait staff is absolutely fantastic at each and every restaurant. They are kind, they'll remember your name and preferences, and if you have kids, they'll remember their preferences too. The spa staff and masseuses are top notch. It's I think what makes this a truly 5-star hotel, and if you're not getting that personalized treatment at other 5-star hotels, you're probably over-paying. Lastly, I know everyone worries about the beach. The hotel, alongside the local and federal government are really getting a handle on this situation with the barriers, and it's making a difference. The biodiversity in the water is coming back, it's color is coming back, all of it.
