Trip # 11 and once again another fabulous experience. We had the most amazing week here. The staff as always go UP UP and beyond. The food has been out of this world. I definitely think it improves with every visit. David, Fernando, Alejandro, chef David, Luis ( chez) Benjamin Torres, Jennifer, Jose ( Magna ) ALL the bar staff especially Orlando at Magna who always greets us with a smile and knows exactly what our first drinks are. Everyone truly couldn’t have done more for us. We stayed once again in the honeymoon suite. We love this room simply for the space ( especially the closet to accommodate all my shoes ( I y k y k) 😉) the location is perfect too) we knew the seaweed situation was going to be bad but in all honesty it really didn’t bother us. We had a couple of ‘ Wiffs’ here and there but all in all it’s not been an issue at all. The grounds are as perfect as ever. The staff couldn’t be any better I swear they are hand picked , literally TOP NOTCH!! Occupancy was low again in July which limited the number of restaurants which were open. If you’re coming soon keep a check on the app, they change weekly! Again , this is not an issue so long as you’re prepared and know what is open each day. The weather has been fantastic all week so again if the app is saying rain like it did for us do not stress. It will rain early morning and some pop up showers for such a short time. Trust me you’ll be glad it cools down the humidity!! If you run hot like me ( all the staff know I run VERY hot lol) bring fans they are a life saver) This hotel is fantastic for their air conditioning. Rooms, restaurants and bars are fabulous unlike many other resorts we have stayed at! This was our 11th trip here with 4 more booked. Next one is in 5 days 🥰. There is a reason we keep coming back and a lot has to do with the wonderful staff. I know I mentioned some names above but specifically I would like to recognize some individuals… firstly Maggy, this lovely lady has the most friendly demeanor about her. She takes so much time making sure guests feel welcome. When we left Maggy literally ran out to the seasons transfer to say goodbye. This truly touched my heart. Alejandro ( head of guest services) we absolutely love him. He nick named me the pink panther lol Absolutely awesome young man. So friendly and attentive! Fernando, ( food and beverage manager) we have know Fernando since our very first trip. Every visit he does his absolute best to accommodate any of our needs. The food this visit was outstanding, whatever he’s doing he’s obviously doing his job extremely well. David Gomez, what a fabulous guy. Always smiling always joking and always making absolute certain our stay is the best he can possibly make it. Gilberto (we call him Boss Man lol) we only met him recently but he already has put a huge mark on our hearts. He finds us and spends such valued time talking to us. We love his stories and his love for motorcycles. Gilberto always makes us laugh, such a great guy. Chef David… what possible things CAN’T I say about him. His skills in the kitchen are amazing ! Request anything and he delivers. AMAZING food, absolutely delicious! Louis ( chez server) Benjamin (magna server) these two have become very good friends of mine. They are so friendly and spend so much time and attention to detail. Every little touch makes our evenings at dinner so special. Jennifer ( magna manager) such a lovely bright young lady. Again, when she sees us at the Magna bar she goes out of her way to come and talk to us. Luis Padron was the first member of staff we met a few years ago. He always remembers us and has been promoted several times likely due to his hard work and dedication. There are many many others I haven’t mentioned but all are such a huge asset to ERC, they are the reason this hotel is so successful and the absolute reason we keep returning! Everything here is just perfect! We stayed Club level for the first time and swimout for the first time. It was absolutely wonderful! The drinks, good food and entertainment was exceptional! The beach was in great shape here too. Lovely people. A good deal and the best vacation spot!

Wonderful Vacation
This place really was beautiful. We went the last week of August and can't say enough about how wonderful the service was. The pools are beautiful and well maintained. Our room was also amazing. We did stay in an Excellent Club Suite and the service was top notch. The food was good but hit or miss depending on the restaurant you choose and your tastes. My husband and I both have different tastes so we had to compromise a bit but if you love mexican food Agave was really good.
The smell was a little hard to get used to, but they are improving it. We really didn't notice it after the first day. People were spending time on the beach and in the water. The seaweed is no longer protected by the Mexican government so they have more options to control it.
As far as people saying it is dated, they are continuously making improvements, but you had all the modern conveniences. This resort is 20 years old but still one of the most beautiful places I've seen.
We were so relaxed and spent most of our pool days on the Lazy River. We met so many people along the way. Some were repeat customers who had been going for years to this same resort and had never tried another one. They will continue to return. As for us I can say we will be back.

Late summer 26 stay
Excellent stay - very hot but great service - Sergio at The Grill, Adolpho at Chez , Hugo at the lazy river and Erika / Arely at Aroma all made the trip special. Service was excellent this trip.
