This outstanding award-winning resort has a privileged location, situated on a wonderful landscape and offering a spectacular view of the Caribbean Sea. The property is set in Puerto Morelos, a famous fishing village located at only 35km from Cancun, where visitors can find multiple leisure options such as exciting excursions and water activities as well as a wide range of restaurants and cafes. This hotel offers a world of luxury to its guests with spacious and elegant rooms equipped with a private balcony or a terrace and a complimentary mini-bar refreshed daily with soft drinks and bottled water. Travellers will find unlimited activities for their entertainment as well as a spa offering the most advanced treatments. Guests can choose between six different restaurants offering a huge variety of international cuisine and various bars and lounges where they can taste a delicious cocktail.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
The resort is ok. Not worth the price find a different resort if you can. This is my 1st and last time coming here. You can utilize only the main pool unless you pay extra. It is a smoke free facility which was not stated when booking. You have to leave the facility and walk by the exit door to use the smoking area, which has no shade during hot weather. If you have small children and want to bring food outside of the buffet you are not allowed ( never experienced in 10+ other all inclusive resorts). There is no food variety. As a family rezort there is no fries or chicken fingers/ nuggets at the buffet. Beach is not accessible due to seaweed which also was not disclosed at the time of booking. Electricity is on an off through out the day. The 1 pool I was able to assess stained swimming suits and floats due to algae in the walls. You have to wake up early and find lounge chairs due to limited space/ chairs. Entertainment is very poor especially in the evenings.
We stay for a week at Dreams Sapphire and had an amazing time!! There was alot of seaweed (sargassum) in Cancun, but the hotel did everything they could to attempt to contain it. We didn’t spend much time at the beach, so we spent majority of it in the preferred club pool areas. We loved the rooftop specifically. It had an amazing private pool and swim up bar (The Skybar) with the most amazing service. Shout out to Victor and Martin at the Skybar who helped us the entire week and were so awesome! I definitely recommend this resort and the preferred club package!
I went to start out by saying the staff was extremely attentive, kind, and helpful. I’d like to especially command, Francisco and Moises. ¡Bien hecho, hombres! I am rating the Resort a 3/5 due to several things:
Overall, my family had a wonderful trip, I just can say confidently that we would not choose to go back to this location.
I was so disappointed on the first day of our stay. The smell of the seaweed was so strong that it made me want to throw up. I had convinced my brother in law and another family with two kids to come with us, so I felt even worse for them.
The pictures of the beach were very misleading. If I had known that we wouldn’t be able to use the beach or swim in the sea because of the seaweed, I never would have booked this resort. I would have chosen Isla Mujeres or another destination instead.
This was my only vacation this year, and I spent a lot of money on it, so it was especially disappointing. The staff, food, and entertainment were all wonderful, but the overwhelming smell of the seaweed made it impossible to fully enjoy the experience.
We had bad steaks. The Filet Mignon and the Ribeye was not eatable. Could not chew or eat. The steaks were tough. Our electricity was off for 3 hours when we had an appointment to make. When the electricity was cut on then our was cut off. The beach was closed due to seaweed
