Bring Back Imperial Band!!
We have booked The Valentin more than 15 times and the Imperial Band has always performed all week. This time they only played twice! Bring them back!!
Good, But Recent Changes…
Great resort. See Seems to now be cutting back on services. I wish the Imperial Band played more often! The band only played twice on our 6 night trip! They are a major reason we are repeat customers!

Unbelievable from start to finish. The food was fantastic, the event Go Team (Carlos, Lorenzo, Pablo, and Nora) provided an insane amount of entertainment every day, and the quality was unmatched.
The night events were unreal, the Imperial Band and DJ were absolutely stellar; you will be singing and dancing like no one is watching. The Burlesque and Fire Shows literally left everyone in the room with their mouth’s open in amazement.
Above all of this, the quality of the staff left my wife and I speechless. Their warmth and hospitality was ALWAYS on display, and not a single staff member for the entire week we stayed ever showed an ounce of impoliteness or avoidance. Everyone smiled, everyone helped, it was like making 100 new friends.
Our home away from home!!
We went to the Valentin with our son and daughter in law in May - it was their first time and our 10th! The Valentin didn't disappoint - everything from staff to food to ambiance was simply amazing, as always!
We are very seasoned travellers and honestly, just keep coming back "home" to the Valentin - yes, it is that great! So much so, that our son and daughter in law booked again as soon as they got home for October and we just booked our 11th stay for September and will return again in December!!
Don't listen to the bad reviews, you will love your stay at the Valentin!!
A very huge thank you to everyone at the Valentin for everything you do - you really have made it our home away from home!
A fun time but not my favorite resort
Overall a good experience, but thought I would share a few things:
- Big pool is beautiful but HOT! Hard to cool off, fairly crowded, mixture of classy and not so classy clientele, activities pretty much the same every day with 1 possible exception. Folks in 30-50s had more fun than those in 20s overall.
- Restaurants: Ginger was the favorite and the matridee, DONOVAN, was the best! He should be allowed to take off the jacket in the summer though! Hibachi was fun, French was beautiful and elegant, Italian was pretty bad. This resort could use a buffet for dinner and allow reservations rather than first come, first serve.
- Room service is pretty good if you need it.
- Beach is upsetting; so much seaweed and it smells. We never spent time on the beach.
- Workers are nice and activity enhancers are kind and inclusive. Some of the pool bar folks were not so happy, but its a hard job!
- In the event you need medical care emergently, ask to go to Galena NOT Hospiten. They are a total scam. Be prepared to spend a lot at any private hospital.
- Rooms are nice. Toiletries were not my favorite (very odd smell, not high quality) and they don't give you hair conditioner (but I got a small tube on request).
- The iganuas are like vultures. Do not feed them!
Hope you have fun! We enjoyed our week but probably will not go back.
