Secrets Maroma Beach

The location was amazing. The drive from the airport was not bad at all. The atmosphere was festive and everyone was so friendly. The hiccup was we were given a room with double beds when we had requested King so we did upgrade. The room we upgraded to was big! I think for the food quality the atmosphere the amount of activities and entertainment. It was a wonderful value. Bramden, our concierge was amazing!!

Again, and again this resort exceeds our expectations! From the minute you set foot through the door to the time of your departure, they continue to go above and beyond. This resort truly feels like home to us, and we will continue to come back for many many years to come. The staff, the service, the grounds and all the individuals behind the scenes are what make this resort our favorite! It is a quick ride from the airport, and we use private transportation with beverages and in no time, we are there ready to keep enjoying our vacation. The rooms and the ground are spacious and well kept. We asked for a dehumidifier in our room just due to it feeling a little musty and they quickly brough one up and had it going in no time: helped tremendously! We always have preferred and it always gives you a special feeling. The new preferred club is amazing, and we love the different food options/alcohol choices. The entertainment and team do a wonderful job of getting guests involved and having a variety of events throughout the day. They really work hard to make sure guests are satisfied and entertained! The ocean is beautiful and the beach is perfect! The staff works very hard to keep it as clean as possible. They cannot control the sargassum and honestly for us we just push it aside and enjoy the ocean! The staff always makes us feel like family and we just love that vibe! Jose: bartender, makes delicious smoked old fashions! Valentin: bartender, very friendly and we enjoyed chatting and getting to know him in the preferred lounge Pedro: bartender, we encountered him during the day in the lobby bar: he makes a fantastic bloody mary and starfruit margarita Luis: bartender, has very good people skills and makes a fantastic old fashion at the preferred lounge, it was a great way to end our night Carmen: server/bartender, she is just the sweetest. She is always ready to serve us another drink or chit chat with us. We really enjoying talking with her and getting to know her as well! Eduardo: server/bartender in training, very kind, makes a hell of a good martini. We cannot wait to see how his skills develop over time! Jessica: server, we spent many nights with her at the lobby bar. She is full of spunk and energy! Estrella: server, another one of our favorites. She is always kind and sweet! Marvin: pool server, speedy service! Was always checking in making sure we did not need anything and remembering our orders was a huge bonus! Efrain: server, he did a fantastic job as our server for the romantic dinner. Made sure we were comfortable and taken care of Carlos: server at Seaside, just a ball of energy and someone that really brightens up the day. He is speedy, efficient and always a pleasure to chat with during lunch. We always ask for him and would be willing to wait in order to have him for a server at lunch Cinar: server at Seaside dinner, great server and friendly Francisco: server at Seaside dinner, very professional and personable. Enjoyed having him be our server for out last meal at the resort! Octavio: Seaside Chef, we wanted to thank him for an amazing meal and making sure we were satisfied overall Freddy: server at Market Cafe, very friendly and personable. Loved chatting with him in the morning, he always filled us in on the special events/activities for the day! Francisco: Himitsu Chef, made us feel very special on one of our last nights and does a great job with the tuna snoring show! Rodrigo: assistant manager of food and beverage, we loved seeing him around the restaurants on a nightly basis. He always made it a point to say hello to us and check in with us when he saw us. He truly cares about guest relationships and experiences. Chef Juan: very pleased with the food overall at the resort and because of him the chefs keep crushing it and the food gets better each time we come! Entertainment staff: Leo, Hector, Omar, Emiliano, and Marcello (the entire staff works very hard and is great, we just only really encountered and connected with a few). These 5 checked in with us daily and some point or another and made sure we were always taken care of. We enjoyed being able to do the activities with them and have conversations as well. Overall, everyone on the staff is amazing and we do not encounter each and every one of them, but they all work hard to make sure we have an amazing staff and deserve the recognition. Everyone goes above and beyond to try and make sure your stay is the best it can be. We are excited to come back very soon and see all the upgrades and all our friends/family we have made at the resort!
