Sandos Caracol Eco Resort All Inclusive is a fantastic resort which is a perfect blend of fresh luxury and eco-friendly design and facilities. Here, style and substance exist in perfect balance. The hotels impeccable service exceeds every expectation to guarantee guests unlimited amounts of fun and relaxation. A great hotel whether guests are travelling with their family, significant other or friends.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
The place is a great adventure, plenty of animals, cenote and water park. Drinks very good, only let down is the food, not very varied, and not hot. Hope it gets better. The worst thing is the a la carte restaurants are really difficult to book, and when you do get through, they are all full. Not good enough. Still there, and hope we can get access, otherwise, big disappointment. Seriously thinking of going out for food. Such a shame as we are really enjoying the flora and fauna. Management needs to be aware of the guests’ disappointment. Hope it improves.
The service where the pool next to the beach , is amazing especially this lovely man that all ways makes my drinks just how I like it and is every nice .
Our stay was pleasant enough, the jungle and wildlife is amazing but here are a few things that other people seem to not be putting in their reviews. You will be get bitten by mosquitoes, they are everywhere (jungle), you will see everyone in their bikinis and swimsuits only to have bright red bites all over their bodies. They did provide gel that is situated around the site but it does not work and the spray we got from home did very little to help. I believe it’s advertised they gave 20 something waterslides in their waterpark but that’s only if you are on the much smaller side. Adults only have a choice of 4 slides (2 of which were out of action when we went). The beach is very pretty but the sea is dark and smelly, so no is swimming, everyone gathers at the main pool and if you aren’t quick enough in the morning you won’t get a sun lounger. The pool itself is crowded and in desperate need of a clean there is black mould all around the inside of the pool. The food in the buffet is nice but they serve the same food everyday and when u are spending 2 weeks there it’s gets very boring. It is also very very busy so expect a lot of noise and long queues. There are other restaurants which again are good but very limited menus each one only has a choice of 4 different mains which is the same everyday. The other restaurants also need to be booked in advance, my wife had to book after midnight for a chance to get a table, but none of that mattered because u could see other guests giving money to the person at the door to get a table. Anyone English reading this keep in mind that you might have to wait a while if you want a drink at the bar as the servers seem to focus on other Spanish speaking guests first unless you wave money at them and suddenly they are more interested to serve you.
Rafael and Abel in Toscana restaurant are very welcoming
We've had a wonderful two weeks holiday in Sandos Caracol for the second time; and we can't express enough how professional ,helpful and friendly the staff are specially Yensi, the night manager; Sebastian, a member of animation team; Guillermo, the fruit bar staff; Jessica, the bike tour guide; Ruby, the water park supervisor; Arthur, the hotel taxi driver; the bell boys, our room cleaners and hundreds of other personnels that we don't know their names, unfortunately. There is a big choice of food in La Laguna buffet as well as four fantastic a la carte restaurants . They go out of their way to make your stay very pleasant and unforgettable . If you think Mexico Sandos Caracol eco resort is where you want to stay. Highly recommend!
