Peaceful and quiet!
My wife and I had an amazing time at RHP! Highly recommend if you are looking for a quieter resort. We were definitely on the younger side at this resort (28 and 33) but we didn't mind. The staff was very friendly and was more than willing to help us practice our Spanish. The restaurants were amazing as well!

Another perfect vacation at Royal Hideaway
We have just returned from our week trip to Royal Hideaway at Playacar and it was great. This is our fifth trip to this resort. We love everything about the resort from the friendly service to the great food. I have to say my favourite restaurants are the Japanese and Italian. I never eat sushi at home but I always eat it when I go to the restaurant and the Parmigiana de pollo at the Italian restaurant is to die for. We had Ricardo Reyes as a waiter a few times, he’s a great waiter and he always has a smile for you. He has a great sense of humour as well. I highly recommend this resort.
Great retreat
Awesome time. Maybe not the most glamorous or most well-known resort in the area but perfect for a few days of quiet relaxation and escaping with my wife. The food and drinks were as good as they needed to be with the meal during the dinner show being spectacular. The service was impeccable from the moment of checking in to the moment of leaving. Roberto was on top of everything and truly looked out for us. Definitely an experience we hope to repeat. Cheers!

Ultimate relaxation destination
Had the most amazing time at the Royal Hideaway. We stayed for 2 weeks and it was utterly relaxing. Not difficult to get your sun loungers in the morning, bartenders are amazing with drinks and the different restaurants all have their own special elements. Carlos Quintal at The Deck gave us a particularly good evening, knowing the menu inside out and being a tonne of fun, the steak also was incredible, cooked to perfection!
Tried out the salon to get my hair braided and the ladies were also so lovely there. We used the tour area to book our trips, including the sea trips shop attached next door by the beach, it’s all been so easy and wonderful. For the most part as well it’s been fine being gluten free, breakfast slightly more difficult but otherwise all of the restaurants every single evening have been amazing. Thank you!
Enjoyable stay
We spent 12 days at royal hideaway our first time. We definitely enjoyed our stay !! We experienced a few negative situations but staff were able to turn most in positive outcomes. The restaurants were very enjoyable and food was above average. Restaurant staff were very professional yet warm and friendly. I like that the dress code was enforced at two of the restaurants. I regret not getting staff names but it would be a long list as 90% were friendly, helpful and professional. Henry always greeted me in the morning at the pool and checked to see if I needed anything. Mariana always smiling when I got towels. Raoul did great job on Henry's day off. Wait staff at the pool were totally on point with their service. Pools were cleaned daily. Beach was well kept. We would return.
