Amazing Paradisus
My family and friends visited for a week and we had a blast from the awesome employees, food, clean environment , the gym and pools and so on . The guest services did a great job and expecially Daniel always making our kids happy from different kids shows , face paint , water activities and crafts making for kids.

Rooms falling apart
I booked a room for my mother in laws birthday. A swim up suite. I was super excited until…. Workers had to come and fix everything that was wrong. My concierge person was a terrible host and yet she called me to be sure everything was OK after I complained to every single help desk I could find. What a waste of money. Also people from the community pool area who are drunk can literally just swim up to your room… there’s no lifeguard or security. What a joke. I’m furious but also now incredibly aware that this brand is just not for real people who value their savings.

Great family resort
We stayed 9 nights at Paradisus Playa del Carmen and had a great overall experience. The resort is beautiful, the beach was lovely, and the food was good with lots of variety. Unfortunately, there was quite a bit of sargassum during our stay, so we couldn’t swim in the ocean, but that’s obviously beyond the resort’s control.
The activities were good, and there was plenty to keep everyone entertained. Our only suggestion would be to have an à la carte option for breakfast rather than only the buffet (or we missed that as an option).
Overall, we would recommend Paradisus, especially for families with young children!
