My family and I really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful hotel! The location was perfect, very walkable! Not directly in the noisy area of 5th Avenue but close enough to walk there. There's plenty of restaurants options nearby and a 10 minute walk to the beach. The staff was amazing with helping us with whatever we needed! I would recommend this hotel to anyone that's visiting Playa Del Carmen.
Cute hotel but... terrible hygiene, the towels had skin marks and sheets had many dubious stains. some times we had hot water but must the time we dont. I definitely would not return and I do not recommend it.
This establishment is incredibly deceptive and has left me thoroughly disappointed. I stayed there for 14 days booked through Expedia, and I quickly learned that refunds or cancellations were not an option, which felt extremely unfair given the circumstances.
From the moment I arrived, I encountered issues, starting with the hot water situation. Not once during my stay did I experience a hot shower; each day, I was assured by the staff that they were "working on it," but the situation never improved. To make matters worse, I experienced a complete shutdown of the water supply without any prior notice while a water company was filling their tank, leaving me without basic amenities at the most inconvenient times.
Additionally, I observed them turning off the electricity during the day, which is quite frustrating when you have yours up the stairs.
I eventually switched rooms, and I can confirm that the reviews regarding the musty smell and the presence of mould were spot on. The second room I was given still had lingering odors and signs of neglect.
The pool area was nothing short of a stagnant swamp, and I found the deck boards to be splintered and hazardous to walk on, raising significant safety concerns.
Once again, the quest for even lukewarm water for a shower proved fruitless; I could only expect frigid, uncomfortable showers throughout my stay.
In conclusion, I absolutely do NOT recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable or reliable stay. This experience has been far from satisfactory, and I hope others heed this warning. My family and I stayed last week from March 23 to March 26, 2026 in two Deluxe Superior twin rooms with balconies. It was very pleasant experience. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. Gina the manager, was very friendly and suggested places and restaurants for us to visit. The hotel location was close to the 5th. Avenue and the beach, and price was very affordable. We definitely plan to return in the future. J. Rubio and Family.
First let me say the staff was amazing! Everyone was really nice and attentive. The room was cool and clean. The location of the hotel was absolutely amazing because everything was within walking distance. Unfortunately, we were on the 4th floor and the elevator was out the entire stay and the pool was closed. The pool being closed wouldn’t have been that bad because the beach is super close but it would’ve been nice to enjoy the rooftop pool, plus we were told it was open upon check in and didn’t find out it was closed until we walked all the way up there. I think what made walking up and down the stairs so exhausting was the hallway being so hot and humid. Towels do cost and it says on websites like Expedia, they offer a shuttle service but they do not. They will arrange a ride for you to get to the ADO bus station but either way, you pay for that ride yourself.
