If you’re fortunate enough to have Sofia Cruz and Miguel Coyole as your concierge team at Grand Velas Riviera Maya, you’re in for an unforgettable experience.
From the moment we arrived, they made our family feel genuinely welcomed and cared for. Their attention to detail is exceptional, they anticipate needs before you even ask, and every interaction feels sincere and personal.
They created a beautiful surprise for my son’s birthday that made his day incredibly special. They also went above and beyond for my wife and me on our anniversary, arranging a romantic bubble bath, chocolate-covered strawberries, and rose petals in our room. It was such a thoughtful gesture that we’ll never forget.
One moment truly captured the kind of people they are. While stopping by the pool to check on us, they overheard one of my adult children mention they were craving chocolate. Without us asking, they went to the boutique, sent videos of different chocolates so they could choose, and then personally brought the selection to us. It was such a small act, but it perfectly reflected how much they genuinely care about making every guest’s stay extraordinary.
The most amazing part is that we still have several days left in our vacation, and they’ve already exceeded every expectation. Sofia and Miguel don’t just provide great service, they create memories that our family will cherish for years to come.
Thank you both for your kindness, thoughtfulness, and dedication. You are a huge part of what makes Grand Velas such an exceptional resort, and we hope to see you again on our next visit.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Outstanding Family Vacation- Exceptional Service!
We just returned from an incredible stay at Grand Velas, and it exceeded our expectations in every way. The resort is stunning, the food is exceptional, and the service is truly second to none.
One of the biggest surprises was the Teen Club. My son is 9 years old, and there were so many fun, engaging activities that he couldn’t wait to go back each day. We especially loved that they embraced the excitement of the World Cup with themed games and competitions. It created such a festive atmosphere for guests of all ages. A special thank you to Susana and Allen, who were absolutely amazing (along with the entire Teens club team, too many to name!). They made sure my son felt included, encouraged him to participate, and treated him with such kindness and enthusiasm. They are wonderful ambassadors for the resort.
We were also fortunate to have Jeronimo and Nicolas as our concierges, and they were nothing short of exceptional. We were celebrating my son’s birthday during our stay, and they went above and beyond to make it unforgettable. From thoughtful surprises to making sure every detail was taken care of, they made him feel incredibly special. Throughout our vacation, they were always just a message away and handled every request quickly, professionally, and with genuine warmth. Their positive attitudes and dedication to guest service made a tremendous difference in our experience.
The dining was another standout. Every meal was excellent, but our favorite dinners were at Lucca and Sen Lin. Both delivered outstanding cuisine, beautiful presentation, and impeccable service that rivaled some of the best restaurants we’ve visited anywhere.
It’s easy to find a beautiful resort, but it’s much harder to find one where the people consistently make you feel so well cared for. The staff at Grand Velas delivered that experience every single day. We left with wonderful memories and are already planning our next visit. Thank you to everyone who made our family vacation, and especially our son’s birthday, so memorable!
Staff were incredible
Incredible experience. All of the staff were amazing and so kind in every way imaginable. Would come back in a heartbeat. Waiter Raymundo and Enrique at Bistro Restaurant were incredible, Jorge was amazing at the pool. Nicolas and Jeronimo were amazing. Everyone was incredible and the staff made this experience one I’ll never forget!
Must Visit
We recently went on a family trip and stayed at Grand Velas in Riveria Maya, Mexico. Our trip was amazing! Jeronimo and Nicholas were our personal concierge team. They made our experience unforgettable as they provided us with extraordinary care and service. They were attentive to our small children and were extremely warm and friendly. They placed our reservations, room service meals, arrange luggage pick up and were always their to support our every need. Our daughter lost her tooth and they made her feel so special by bringing her a special gift. Our son is a huge fan of toy story and when we returned to the room after lunch, there was an awesome bubble bath filled with toy story characters in his bath waiting or him. They exceed our expectations. The resort itself was exceptionally clean. The grounds of the resort reminds me for pure paradise. If you are an animal lover, there was a bunch of wildlife to see. The food was delicious and the rooms were spacious. This resort thought of every detail from the robes, slippers, beach bags, etc. The only downside was the beach was filled with seaweed, so we didn't get a clear water experience, which didn't dampen the trip at all. We had a blast and are dying to revisit. We shall return soon.

The experience of a lifetime
Wow where do I start?? This place left us speechless! Throughout our entire stay we felt like royalty! It all started when we arrived and greeted by our phenomenal concierge Nicolas, who took us to our upgraded room in grand class (original reservation was in zen grand), oceanfront with our very own plunge pool. Every single thought had been put into the room from our own beach bag to use during the stay, to bath bombs to enjoy the in room jacuzzi, and much more. Unfortunately when we arrived we quickly noticed that the breast pump I had brought with me was not working. I would have gotten very sick if Nicolas and Jeronimo had not gone out of their way to arrange someone to go and purchase a breast pump for us off the resort. They send us pictures so we could choose and then brought the pump of our choosing straight to our room, shortly after we had requested it. Then the rest was pure bliss. I have to say that the beach was not swimmable because of the amount of seaweed, however that’s all due to how we as humans are destroying this world. Nevertheless the resort had employees work around the clock to try and clean as much seaweed off the shore as possible. The resort was impeccably clean, the service was out of this world, kids activities and the catering to kids and families was unmatched. They have freaking menu items for all ages beginning from newborn, 6 months, 12 months, 18 months; I’ve never seen that anywhere!!
Now let’s get to the most important part, the food, holy cow the food, no words… The food and service was out of this world!!!! That’s one of the main reasons we chose this resort and it blew our expectations out of the water!! For lunch and breakfast the Bistro was by far our favorite. By the time we left the staff had become like family. Ray (Raymundo) was the kindest soul, incredibly generous, incredibly professional, super attentive and overall incredible! Not to mention the rest of the staff at the Bistro, the chef came out personally to greet us, Jazmin the manager was so courteous and kind, and Daniela greeted us always with the outmost respect and kindness. Like I said, these people became like family by the end of our trip. They even prepared a little “bon voyage” cake for us on our last day. Their kindness brought tears to my eyes.
We cannot wait to come back here one day, even though the first trip we were barely able to afford. But you do get your money’s worth and then some. We loved this place and its people more than we could have ever imagined. Thank you Grand Velas and aloha!
