Gorgeous Girls Trip
We were a group of 6 girl friends celebrating my 50th birthday and this was an excellent choice! The resort was well located south of the Cancun airport. I worked with the concierge to prebook our spa and dinner reservations and we were able to secure all of our choices. The food is incredible - highly recommend a meal at Cocina du Autor! Our service everywhere was top notch, especially at the adult pool! Yasmine and Jorge were there each day of our trip and made sure we always had full drinks. They set up a separate table for us so we could eat together instead of in our sun loungers. Definitely make sure to experience the Water Ceremony at the Spa. Highly recommend this resort for any type of trip but especially with a mixed group, there's something for everyone here!

Unbelievable week!!!
One of the nicest places I have ever been to, and the service was even greater Nicholas the concierge’s was unbelievable,he took care of everything !!!. We had a great time. Everything we needed was there for us and the food was spectacular. What a great relaxing week.

The most wonderful experience, every single person was such a gift to us!!! I miss them all already!!!! There was not a moment that we did not feel like family ❣️🙏❣️ We will be back 😚😚😚

Another Fabulous Experience at this Fantasy Property
The hotel is located only 40 minutes from Cancun, complete seclusion from the madness of Cancun. This is our 10th year visiting the property and each time, our experience is better than the last. We are elite members of Four Seasons and Ritz Carlton and our stay at Grand Velas is far superior, known as the #4 best hotel on the Forbes List of the BEST HOTELS IN THE WORLD!
We can only offer praise to Damian in Lucca, the food is expectacular and you must try the Lemoncello Spritz that is prepared by Damian at your tableside. Damian makes your night at Lucca unforgetable.
This trip Azul our favorite was closed for renovation, we discovered Chef Andre in Bistro and Andre prepared the most special authentic Mexican Breakfast for us each morning, we tasted authentic Yucatan breakfast with fresh vegetables and local produce from the area. you must ask for the beefsteak with merlot sauce, better than any we have had in France. What a treat!
Alfonso our personal concierge provided us each morning with personal activities from the hotel each morning. It was my birthday celebration and to my surprises I was greeted with Happy Birthday decor, balloons and a special birthday cake with a bottle of fine wine.
My husband is Italian so we most frequently visited Lucca, under the supervision of Damian we received first class treatment with Jorge, Marco, Alejandro and our chef Maya. The carbonara was better than any I ever had in Roma.
Lay by the "adults only pool" in Grand Class and Donoso brings your drinks right to your poolside while you bake in the son. Donoso has been pool side for the last 10 years since our first visit, you know he knows his way around a drink and pool service.
Our daily housekeeper Alma was so sweet, she even showed me a trick the hotel uses to smooth out wrinkles on a comforter, use Distilled Water and smooth out the wrinkles, a perfect complliment to any 5 star hotel.
Dining in Frida is the ultimate Mexican Food Experience with fresh guacamole prepared at your table, we were fortunate to have Victor serve as our waiter and instead of ordering from the menu, we asked Victor to choose for us, one of the most superb Mexican dinners we had at Frida.
On past rips we met Michelle Espisona who is no longer assisgned to Azul, she has now been promoted to administration, when she found out we had returned to the hotel, she made a special trip to come and greet us and offered her help in anything our heart desired. Upon our departure, with our car service Blue Dream, we were by our favorite staff members to bid us farewell until we meet again. Do not hesitate to visit this hotel, only a 40 minute flight from Miami International and a vacation you will return to again and again. WE ARE SPOILED!
