Can be hit or miss, this visit was a smash hit
I will start by saying this was our 4th or 5th visit and the last time we visited the Allegro, we had quite a few issues and I never wanted to come back. I am SO glad we gave this place another chance because they knocked it out of the park this time. The staff was so lovely, the grounds are as beautiful as always, we had a perfect ocean view in our beautiful, immaculate room, and every single day was like a little slice of heaven. It was not too busy, I guess being that it is the off-season with heavy sargassum, but the beach is still beautiful and they keep the pools warm and inviting with plenty of activities. I like that they make a point to keep the sea turtle nesting areas covered and protected. Every single person who works here is kind, helpful, and professional, don't forget to tip these wonderful people who go out of their way to make your stay lovely!

Family holiday
We had a great family holiday and stay at this hotel. The staff were extremely friendly for the most part and delivered excellent service at meal times and when cleaning rooms. My only complaint was the sheets used on the beds were a little too bobbly for my liking.

The Spa at Allegro Playacar
The hotel staff were all very friendly and attentive. But, the best part was the Spa. I had Paulina as my masseuse. This amazing lady gave me a relaxation massage for 80 minutes, that brought me back to life. My back is always tense and painful and Paulina with her magical hands gave me the relief I needed. It wa the best massage ever!
Allegro stay
My friend and I enjoyed our stay at Allegro. The staff were amazing around the property. However, as nice as the rooms were, they are in desperate need of updating. The smell from the tatched roof was also overwhelming the first couple of days.
